Converting Column shift to center console shift?

Check my flow-thru gallery. There are a ton of pics showing how the swap is done.
If your dash is staying the stock grey, it's pretty easy to do. Since I wanted my trim pieces Medium Pebble to match my interior, it was a bit more of a headache.
As for the cost - I was never brave enough to add everything together. If I had to guess, I'd say somewhere in the $500 to $750 range.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I would defenitly have gray/black interior with this next truck. I did see some center consoles with the shifter in them already on ebay for around 100 bucks. Does that seem like a good deal? One would think you could do this mod for under 400..

I did that swap on my other 05 F150....if I recall, I paid about $160-$185 for the shifter (new)..about $40 for the shifter cable....bought two consoles of ebay for about $45 each (one to mount in truck, and one for fill in pieces between console and dash. I also bought the fill in piece to cover the hole where the column shifter was, but I don't remember how much it was. If you have electronic 4X4, it's actually not that hard...just search for the threads where the guys posted the pics of how to do it. The hardest part for me was getting the nerve to drill the hole in the floor board for the new shifter cable to run through.

i did this mod too but mine was a little more pricey. i had tan interior and i transformed it to black interior so id say with the roush leather, black panels console shifter, and dash i spent 2500 bucks. still got the doors to do and the headliner. ill get some pics up. i thinks theres some in my gallery

My first choice is going to be a f-150 with the center console and shifter, but if i cannt find one i will defenitly be doing this mod.
On a 2wd the only come on an FX2 and LARIAT.
Keep in mind though, the flow thru shifter combo is OPTIONAL they are not standard equipment, even though most have them.
Now FX2's, Harley Davidson's and King Ranches get them standard, but they are special edition models NOT trim levels.

Mounting brackets
Here's a pic from some time ago:
Looks like you could do this with the floor 4x4 shifters, guessing it's gonna be tight though.
Check these, long and some great pics, last one has some schematics:
