It's not just the size that makes them special, lol.

That was just a point of reference. They are great because they stop the truck on a dime.Their stopping power is unproportionate to the weight of the truck. Hitting them too hard will throw any loose item flat against the windshield. They work so well they really take a lot of getting used to. And they won't overheat on a road course going thru the twisties at full throttle. No rotor warping issues either like some of the other Dodge products.

Only drawback is the OEM high performance pads dust up the rims real bad. That's common with high performance brake pads.

Yeah, those nascars at bristol sure don't have clean wheels.

Vipertruck, it's nice to see an "enemy" not come in here and serve up a bunch of trash talking. It speaks well of you srt10 guys. Thanks for clearing up some of the cloudy info.

the srt-10 is a badass truck and i know i cant take one when it comes down to it. i knew when i won that it was a fluke. my buddy was yelling "hell yeah!" but i told him that we shouldnt have won.

i just figured that it was worth mentioning because i dont know how many times ill pull up next to one of you guys again, if ever...

hopefully ill be in the 13's pretty soon and really be able to hang, but my modding crazy days may be numbered as im getting married soon...

Thanks guys.

I like ALL trucks. Not just the one I have. I see alot of great looking trucks right here in this thread. You have alot of features on your trucks that I wish could get on mine, too.

Be safe and keep it between the guard rails.

Nice ride man. Have you tried running Mickey Thompson DR's (275/40/17) at the track? A guy that I race against (my other car of course) uses them and stock he is running 8.2's at the 1/8th mile stock. They look hilarious but they hook like crazy. I use them on my 90 GT 5.4L.

I think that's logical. We ordered my wife's WRX within about two weeks after they were released. IMO, WRX's with a stick are TOUGH to get a good launch from a roll. I'm sure a better driver could get a much better launch than I can. However, from a dead stop, they are really easy to lauch. The clutch slips enough during a drop clutch launch to prevent serious transmission damage. However, I must admit, my wife's has 85k miles and it really needs the clutch replaced!

Thanks for the props.

I have not tried drag radials. I have only been to the track 3 times and always on the stock 22" Pirellis. I think they hook fairly well for stock rubber but the overall set up is just way too heavy.

I would like to try the drag radials and launch at alot higher rpms, but I think I need to upgrade my clutch and pressure plate first. I don't think the OEM clutch can handle a real high rpm launch. I ran the 13.07@108mph with a 2.0 sixty footer. With the DR's I should be able to get my sixty well below that and run some 12s.

Hey VT, what's up bro? Haven't talked to you in awhile, probably since the shake up at the "other" forum. How's things been? And has Smoke come back around the boards at all since his deal? I haven't seen hide nor hair of him either. Thank you for chiming in. I was starting to think I was the only one here that knew what they were talking about with your trucks.
