may have already been said, but with an auto trans, you can power brake much more effectively launch the truck, then dumping the clutch.

I can launch my truck at 3500rpms, with minimal wheel spin.

Ive ran ***** out against my friends stalled auto Maro SS and all the way through first gear he spun, i was a fender ahead of him, his trans shifted into second, bogged down, went back to first and he was gone.

So i definetly believe him that he can take the srt10. GJ!

Hey Cree, We're all over at vtcoa.com now. Smoke is over there too, just came back. He's been moving.

Screw, you can get a smokin deal the SRT10s now. The QC is much easier to launch, and with a $400 pcm flash you can pick up a solid 40-45hp and really wake it up. The QC is detuned to protect the tranny.

The clutch is def the weak point on the RCs. You can't slip the clutch at all on take off or you will smoke it. Sounds like you did that on your test drive. You have to just dump it. SOunds like you had a blast on your test drives, lol.

Hey Smokin, your truck looks great man . I was looking at your gallery and just had a couple of questions.

First, what model (xlt, sxt, whatever) is your truck?
Second, ground effects kit. Where did you purchase it?
Third, what engine mods besides the supercharger, have you done?
Lastly, MPG. How much did it drop after you put all the mods on? Regular driving wise.

I ask because I owned an '03 Lightning and sold it a few months ago (yeah, yeah I kick myself in the butt, wait.........no I don't gas prices suck.) and want to buy a new F-150 and do some of the same things you have done.

DX NumNutz, to asnswer your q's:

its an xlt. i would like to have gotten leather seats and a few more options, but i believe the only reg cab that can offer those is the fx4...

the front bumper cover and roll pan are by street scene through stylin concepts. the side side skirts are from dg motorsports and the hood scoop is roush which are also both available at stylin concepts i believe.

the only other performance mod i have is the flowmaster exhaust. there are many more on my widhlist but thats it for now. i may try to run some ram air setp from the hood scoop in the futer also.

as far as the mpg, i honestly dont know. i never really keep track, and the way i drive, id be lucky to get like 1 mpg

and if you do want to go with a sport truck look, i would also reccommend a 2/4 or 3/5 drop(mine)

hope you do it

Good luck with Dodge customer service. I have 2 friends that regret the day they bought their Ram 1500's.
