Lets stop the bench racing and line em up. And accelerating on the highway full of traffic doesnt constitute as a race, and Ive done plenty of street racing in my day.

And also, I dont see the bragging rights even if a tuned, exhaust, intake F150 did beat a Titan, what if the Titan put on the same mods?? Its comparing apples to oranges. Lets see stock for stock, or race a Titan with comparable mods.
Wrong! The Titan's 5.6 does not respond well to a tuner (because they are pretty much maxed out from the factory), and we all know an exhaust and an intake do very little on a vehicle this size. The F-150 is tuned for comfort from the factory, while the Titan is tuned more for performance. Therefore if you tune the F-150 for performance, it is a fair comparison.

To be honest, I tried to buy a Titan before the F150. It wasn't the shoddy interior or long list of quality issues (this was an early 2004 model), but a completely awful dealer, who tried to steal my deposit and sell me a truck I didn't order (wrong features, wrong color, etc.), that convinced me to go with the F150. In fact, the Nissan sales manager had finally located the quad cab in the color I wanted in an adjacent state. He had the truck transported and I went to inspect it. It was scratched ("it just has to be wheeled..." by that he means polished, who ever heard of needing to polish a new truck?), and the driver obviously had leaked grease from his Big Mac all over the upholostery. When I grabbed him and told him there's no way I'm going to take that truck, he refused to refund my deposit, prompting me to contact the credit company. Of course, credit card company refunded the deposit immediately.

At any rate, the Titan was a blast to drive. Allowing for the crappy interior, the acceleration never stopped, it just kept on pulling. Frankly, it was much faster than the F150, acceleration wise (rear-end gearing? without a doubt). It handled competently, as well. It was fun to drive!

But let's face it... the F150 is the broad-shouldered tight-end of a truck. It tracks smoothly and when equipped with the Edge tuner and some other bolt-ons, it can fly. When I loaded the Edge tunes, the fun quotient went straight up. Yet, I still don't think my truck will beat a Titan to 60 mph. So what? Have fun.

Well according to my Truckin' magazine
F150 Screw 9.41/17.00@81.4
Titan KingCab 7.77/16.18@86.79

I can see how Josiah could knock off 2 seconds with those mods.

With my regular cab/long box 4x4 I clocked 7.5 0-60 with my Edge level 2 and some wheel spin.

Haha, Anchorman quote lol. Will Ferrel is a trip...

Anywho..

TTSaleen settle down man, you take this way too seriously. This is nothing but a good ole open forum where luckily thoughts and comments are allowed. So what if someone dissagrees, thats their right.

I want the F150 to beat the Titan just like everyone else on here, I just want realistic expectations, thats all. I also didnt take into consideration that the Titan's tune was much more aggressive from the factory. I realize that Ford uses a more mild tune for reliability sake, which makes sense. After all, its better to play it safe and for the speed freaks like us we can get a custom tune. So I can see where a tuned F150 would be a better comparison for the Titan. Either way, I want the F150 to beat the Titan as much as anyone on here. Many times I play devils advocate because I realize this is an F150 dedicated forum so sometimes views can be biased, Im just looking to get the most truthful and realistic information, not be anti-f150.

My point exactly instead of taking the video for what it is...f150----beating a titan. He explained what happend word for word not biased, showed video proof and instead of saying nice kill or good race; "but I really think the titans stock to stock it would be cha' " you choose to in what ever matter necessary to argue that it never happend or something is not right. The facts could be given to you so much so that a blonde could get it and you would still argue it, it's cool man that's just you. My comment pertains to the fact that I hate people like you. As you say its an open board its my opinion. I love how you can quote people. They sometimes put their foot in their mouth without even realizing it. But hey lets all just bowdown to argumentative people

I'm too tired and too drunk to read all of the replies to this post...so at risk of duplication, I'll say...

Get R Done...racing is racing...whether from dead stop at a light to pushing the throttle through the firewall on the freeway. If you can hold off a competitor after a few full throttle pushes at 60+ mph, then that is a win. Racing isn't always about 0-60.

You're RPMs tell the story...I've shot plenty of video in my time of stuff I've know to be hauling *** to only have it laughed at when you watch it because the video doesn't convey the speed.

...well done
