Edge Update
What is the updated version number? I have tried to update mine and it says that I have the most current version. I called Edge and they said that I have the most current version. However, I have never updated the tuner and I do not have the MPG or the idle speed adjustments. What is going on here? Currently I have firmware version 08 and calibration version 08a. What is the latest?

I'm up and running! These guys are great! The engineers took my hex code and rebuilt me my stock program. Cody, one of the reps, great guy, walked me through the process, which included the Stock Writer program and the Restore Evolution. It's cool, you give them the seed no. and he gives you a corresponding key number, then we're connected online and it loads the codes in nothing flat, (cable internet helps). So now I have my level 3 reloaded and I'm off! I did ask why this happened to me. He wasn't totally certain, but did mention that they are having some internal firewall problems and that perhaps that had something to do with it. I don't know if it's certain or not, but he said that the updates were removed online until they get everything sorted and figured out. Regardless, it was kind of a pain in the ***, but technology stuff can be that way. They were very responsive and helpful.

How did you connect back into the PCM unit.. Same as usual...??
Did you select return to stock?
Did they have to tranfer the old stock.bin back to themselves and then transfer you a new one?

On your first question, first they loaded my stock only onto the programmer. He had me go out to my truck and reload it into my truck, there were no other options to chose from. My truck started right up! Then I called him back and we did the Restore Evolution, and that gave me all three performance tunes and the guage options, etc.
I did email him my stock.bin and vid.bin. They used these to write the appropriate stock program. Then we did the link up. So, my advice, if you haven't done so yet, is to download your stock program from the programmer onto your computer for emergencies like this. I'm sure it made it alot easier for them.

Great....looks like I won't be loading the level 3 tune until they get it fixed. I wonder if I could downgrade back to the old version

After updating my Edge this morning, I loaded level 3 with no problem. It even kept my stock tire size 2356, instead of defaulting to 29XX, like it used to.
I didn't pay attention to it when I was driving to work, but when I was driving home I noticed that it showed a 0 (stock tune) in the upper right hand corner, even though I had loaded level 3. I thought I didn't load it correctly. But it still gave me the option to return to stock, which will only be there if you have loaded a tune.
I returned it to stock and reloaded level 3 without a problem.
I will check it tomorrow to see what it says in the upper right corner.
Seems like the firmware still has a few kinks.

Keep us posted. I did the update and have been running level 2 without a problem. I am finally almost empty and ready for some 93 octane and level 3, but I don't know if I should wait untill this issue is cleared up.
How many of you out there have done the update and are having no problems with level 3?
Thanks

Thank you...!!! That is exactly the info I was looking for... I wondered what would happen if the Edge Evo malfunctioned and I lost communication during the download window and end result was a corrupted PCM..
I could always have them FedEx me a replacement to get me going again but I would have lost the stock program.. knowing what file to archive would be a plus when things go from bad to downright ugly...
I already copied the stock.bin I'll move a copy of vid.bin also... should be in the PDF file.
