MM25FTX or any other lucky person who got their Edge today--Tell us, is this pretty much a "plug and play" unit? Did you have to do anything about your PCM code or anything of the sort? I'm just curious if it reads your code and if it's in the pre-programmed database Edge put in, that you're good to go? Or is the PCM code thing not even an issue on these tuners?

Anyways. Looking forward to some 0-60 numbers and more feedback when ya'll can!

Got it! Installed program. Adjusted for bigger tires, increased top speed to 120. Installed towing program as I am taking a 400 mile round trip over the weekend. Put unit in center console until next time. I have a scanguage that I like to use for the trip computer, so can't have both at the same time.

Yes it is plug and play. Very easy.

Turn on ignition.

Plug in unit.

follow directions.

It's that simple.

Shifts are much better over stock. Firm, but not slamming, if you know what I mean. (I use to have a B&M shift kit in my Bronco that would chirp the tires, if you can relate)

Exhaust sounds deeper and more powerful.

Throttle response is much better.

When you get the instructions you'll find out you can adjust alot on this unit. Take an afternoon, some 91 octane, and a picnic lunch and go play with this thing and see what you can do. The instructions do point out to make adjustments slow as to prevent any damage to engine or transmission. So don't be to aggressive at first.

Thanks to Tical for all of your hard work.

I'll post mpg figures when I get back. The best I have gotten on this trip in 17.5.

Sorry guys I just took her for a little drive

No 0-60 times yet, I need to find some open road. I have about 400+ lbs in the bed for traction (shurtrax) but I will try some runs tomorrow.

Tell you what It sure feels faster!!

Tcal, I changed my SIG lol!

I guess I may as well try Level 3 if the beta testers didn't get any "pings"

It would be nice to compare 87 with Level 2 and 93 with Level 3.....

I think they are being conservative, but They probably don't want you to MAX out to the upper end of the adjustment band. I'd imagine that you can make your adjustment, load the program, start the vehicle an drive a few miles then go back and adjust it further.

This might be a dumb question but, I was on the group buy and I was wondering if my edge would have a custom program since I have a catback and CAI. For better performance. or is the edge plug and play?

I actually just did one 0-60 and it was 7.80 all I have is a Flowmaster and K&N drop in filter.

The programming itself is done in seconds. You input your settings, the unit will download the PCM information, then upload the new settings. the screen will show what setting you are programmed for. Each level has a custom program setting. So you can input more aggresive settings as you want. So you could find you that lonely stretch of road and do some Josiah runs and gradually input more aggresive settings on each run. Just depends on what you want. And when you are done, just reset to the tow mode for better fuel mileage. I wanted better fuel mileage and better shifts. (The shifts are adjustable also) I seldom go to WOT, so not looking for running 91 octane anytime soon. It's $.20 more per gal in these parts of the country. I may try the level 3, 87 tune later on, just to try it.

When doing the 0-60, or 1/4 mile runs, the unit will give you a countdown using different colored lights, red, yellow and green. Step on the gas and the unit does the rest. It will even store numbers that you want to keep.

I like the fact that I can plug the unit into my home PC and download upgrades as they come avaliable from EDGE.

Hopefully someone can load a PDF copy of the instruction manual. That would explain alot.

I highly recommend this tuner to anyone who likes to control their engine and transmission settings. (you know like in the old days with carb jets and timing adjustments!)

What gearing?
Did you have any pre-edge times? Can you use the edge to get a 0-60 time with factory setting? If so, did you do a comparo?

Yeah, just set it to trans only and we can deduct from there. Although, it's not a scientifically valid test... We can make our own conclusions though
