Didn't realize it worked on the 4.6

Did you get in on the group buy too? Apparently mine has shipped and should be here in a few days as long as customs doesn't decide to keep it or something.

no no no.... I love this edge product and would recommend it to anyone. when i bought my truck i also purchased a 100k / 7 year warranty with the truck. I recently called the dealership and asked them if i were to buy one of these would it void my warranty, and they said yes. I was just so excited when i found out about this opportunity that i didnt even think of this. and i have not gone silent , i have been giving input on this since day one. thanks

Is Edge ok with you selling a test unit that you were given for free? I would think they would want it back.

From post number 1:

I work right next to the Edge Product's and i have gotten to know the owner there, and a lot of the engineers very well. They just barely got done designing and producing a new Evolution programmer / Attitude monitor all in one unit for our trucks. Today he gave me one for free to try out as a beta tester.
it wasnt given for free.
Really?

Im pretty sure he later said it was only $110 which he considered to be "free" compared to the retail price of the unit. . .

they also charged me $100, but to me that's giving it away.!
I stand corrected. :o

Still smells.

I like the unit, would have bought it anyway. Just makes me wonder if this whole thing wasn't started to get a bunch of units out there as a marketing ploy by EDGE. Wondered about it before. I hope that's not what it was.

Hell, everyone knows that. That's why you put the stock tune back in before taking it back to the dealer. And, also why I won't use the dash mounted pod. Might be hard to explain that empty hole

Fedex delivered mine today. I installed the level 3 program for 87 octane as soon as I got home, and honestly I was disapointed at first. I had terrible detonation at WOT and it just didn't seem that much better. BUT, after driving for about 50 miles the PCM must have adjusted because the detonation is all but gone and the truck really does perform better. In my opinion, this is how our trucka are suppose to drive. I tried a quick 0-60 and 1/4, but didn't write down any times. By the seat of the pants it pulls harder, and takes off MUCH better. The throttle response is the biggest difference I have found so far. I will do more testing this weekend with 0-60 and 1/4 runs in all 3 programs. Afterwards I'll hook up the laptop, and see if I can figure out how to get you guys (and gals) some hard numbers.

All in all my first impressions are that it was worth it and I am glad I made the purchase. I'll post more info later this weekend.
