. . . what would have been your next choice? What would you have purchased and why?
I would have gone the Chevy Silverado SS.
My neighbor purchased a '05 model during this past summer and I've since had the opportunity to drive it on several ocassions. Very sweet ride, amples of power for a truck, fairly ergonomic interior layout and everything just flowed damn nice on the body (lines).
But my first truck ever in this country was a 2000 F150 Scab Lariat and after not missing a beat for just short of four years, I swore I would stay loyal to Ford . . . . and I have.
What about you?

Since I trade vehicles every other year, I came from a 3/4 ton Sierra Crew Cab to the F-150. Get reeady for the blasphemy: GM is doing a body change on teh '07, and it would be a safe bet that in '08 I'll be back in a GMC or Chevy.
Before the flames start, please remember that I average 16-1800 miles per week for my job, and in two years will have between 180-200,000 miles on the vehicle. While I realize it's "just getting broken in" at that point, with that much time behind the steering wheel, two years go by and I'm ready to look at a different dashboard.
