Wtf!
Okay so the F-150 is messed up once again, Im not sure right now what it is exactly. So here goes the story, Im out in the sand and go to put it in 4HI. Im in N and stopped so I click it in, put it in reverse to lock it in, back into drive start moving a little bit and than clunk. Its done it for a while so I thought nothing of it but I had already been rolling when it clunked this time. So I come back and start backing up to where I was parked and it seems like there is no power at the wheels. Wierd. So Im messing around trying to figure out whats wrong and going through 2HI, 4HI and 4LO. Heres the situation 2HI works but when Im going down the road it seems like it will slip in and out of gear, and when I select 2nd or 1st gear it just revs up but doesn't move. 4HI will not move forward but it will go into reverse but it takes a lot of the motor to move it, but 4LO moves it forward and reverse and still takes a lot of the motor. Im driving home just to get it home for the night and a "Transmission Malfunction" light comes up and the OD OFF light was flashing on my instrument cluster. While driving home like I said it would slip in and out of gear and from a dead stop it would take A LOT from the motor to move the truck. A friend said he thought he saw smoke coming from my transfer case but he wasnt sure. Any techs have any opinions on what happened exactly and whats wrong?
Im going to have it taken to a dealer tomorrow hopefully get it checked out and fixed.
PS: Im sure there is grammer and spelling errors but I typed this fast.

Hmmm, my first idea would be the transfer case, but that wouldn't affect your 2HI slipping in and out (or the feeling of, unless it's the transfer case trying to engage and disengage) and especially shouldn't make it not go in 2nd or 1st and 2HI. Maybe your whole tranny has a gremlin and it got hungry and ate part of the transfer case too. Sucks dood, keep us informed on what happens...it's pretty major though IIRC if your OD blinks AND Transmission Malfunction message is displayed. Stop beating your truck up, j/k.

Driveline and 4x4 stuff ain't my cup-o-tea, but I'd dare say something blowed up inside the transmission. If in manual 1 or 2, all you're getting is RPM increase with no gains in speed, there may be a shift solenoid problem and/or a forward or intermediate clutch problem. If you're needing a lot of throttle to move, maybe there's a pressure problem somewhere, spool valve in the pump stuck or a seal rolled out of position or something.
