Tell us how you really feel

Very helpful to us guys with lids or toppers that want to still close the lid and tailgate to protect our tools while we run into another store? I guess it won't happen with the new longbed 6-1/2 foot Screw. Maybe I just changed my mind.
I have an 05 SCab with the 6 1/2 foot bed. I've found that you can fit 8 foot long boards in the bed diagonally with the tailgate closed.

I feel the exact opposite. I bought the super cab because I thought the proportions of the super crew looked funny. I felt like the cab being as long as the bed was out of proportion...but that's just me!

After 3 months of ownership of a SCREW with a 5.5' box. I hauled sheets of plywood, 2x4s, boxes of stuff and found surprising the capabilities of 5.5' box with the tailgate down.

The truck barely fits inside a garage. A 6.5' box SCREW for me would be too large. I would trade the 6.5' box for parking in the garage.

I'm sure there are alot of cows out there reading this post that would like to tell you your a$$ doesn't look that good either. But on a serious note, make sure you think of that extra weight being HARD for the motor to lug around the next time you super size it at McDonalds... like that 12 inches of bed and frame really make that much difference. If that were the case, I'm sure all F-150's would come with Temp-A-Spares, and 10 gallon fuel tanks. Not to mention a "No Mother-In-Law's Aboard" sticker on the glovebox. Hey, maybe that's why they went with aluminum hoods and aluminum A-arms. Really, the 150-1/2 inch wheelbase only cuts the already pitiful payload by 130 pounds.

I thought this too but having driven it for a little while now, I've changed my mind. It's big enough as is and with the bed extender, I don't need to close the tail gate. "No" is the short answer

i did kind of like the longer bed, but the 6.5' wouldn't fit into my garage

...that made the decision easy!

so far, the 5.5' bed has been alright...i haven't hauled anything really big yet though, and i plan to buy a bed extender soon

speaking of, it would have been nice to have a 5.75' bed so that we could get 8' clear before going off the edge of the tailgate when it's down...at least that's what my memory of the measurements tells me, i could be mistaken
