5.5' bed works great for me, especially since my garage is only 10 inches longer than my supercrew.

I may have gotten it, but only if it fit in the garage. So far no need for a longer bed.

5.5 foot bed works well enough for me too. I use my truck to haul people more than I do stuff. Most of my truck use is for camping, Home Depot runs, etc. I could see folks who haul around ATV's and also like the extra people room would love the longer bed.

I would have gotten one if it had been an option. I have a shell on mine and need that covered/secured space, and a foot longer bed would have been nice. I don't need the added ability, expense, or weight of an F250, so that wasn't really a choice. I won't sell or trade my 5.5' Screw for one though.

my screw fits in my garage with only 6 total inches of clearance front to back. A longer bed would not fit in my garage. That really says something about the standard size of the garages being put on these new houses. I have even thought about removing a piece of the drywall (and studs) to gain that ~4" back they way it is now.

It's long now, couldn't imagine another foot.

I can fit anything I need in the back with the tailgate down or with the extender.

If I was a contractor or hauled big items, maybe, but I'm just homeowner who likes put some Home Depot stuff in the back.

That might be true but has anyone else made a pool in their bed? These deep bed sides really help!

I would have gotten a 6 1/2' bed SCREW instead of a SCAB in a heartbeat.

Well, it would have been nice...but one of the things I forgot was to measure my garage before getting my truck. Let's say it BARELY fits because of my garage layout with a few inches before and after the truck...however an extra foot would make it physically IMPOSSIBLE to park in my garage. That said, occasionally the 5.5ft bed is just a TAD bit too short...but can be overcome by dropping the tailgate (which they really don't like around here). Glad I got the 5.5 though.
