Spoke to them again and they said that it only pulls 5 amps when factory pulls 7 amps or so...but since the harness was free, why not use it...

So I figure to save myself future headache, I might as well use the harness now and just do it that way. Thanks for the info...

Anyone know how to adjust the beam? Ever since my Autospring kit, I seem to be blining people...I want to aim them down a bit.
Not true, they're giving you bad information. The typical halogen pulls 8-10A. A japanese ballast only pulls 8A during boot and 6A during run time. McCulloch does not use Japanses ballasts. They use a ballast like the Hella Gen 3 ballasts. The Hella Gen 3 ballast pulls 12-15A during boot and 12-15A during run time. They are not efficient ballasts and pull more than what your wiring harness was designed to pull over time. They also pull upwards of 200+ watts when you HIDs first turn on. FYI the typical halogen harness is rated for 55W to go through it's wiring.

The jist of what I'm saying, good thing you're using a wiring harness because if not you'll definitely fry it. Its good peace of mind, if something goes wrong you lost a wiring harness that can be replaced for $40 instead of an OEM wiring harness which will cost you hundreds to replace. Cheap insurance.

Illl have it tonight...I finished everything and all turned out well. I couldnt take much shot of short and long distance views because all the lighting in my neighborhood.

Hopefully I can go somewhere dark to take a good shot.

Overall, the install was straight forward and easy. Lighting is amazingly brighter but does not compare to a factory HID setup...which is of course expected.

Pics tonight.

sishan, i thanks for getting the pics man but i have some questions as im sure everyone else would like to know as well. How is the spread of the light, any hot spots? how long does it shine in front of the truck, distance wise, long enough to where i wont need brights? is there a nice cut off beam? Any oncoming glare for other people? sorry if i got a lttle carried away, i just cant waite to see pix

The beam isnt as wide spread as OEM applications...but the brightness is definately there. I noticed when I went to the Black Headlights, with standard bulbs it already looked a little more dim, but may have been my imagination since I wasnt used to seeing the reflection throughout the entire headlight...now just in the reflector piece.

Im trying to think of a nice dark area to take some good pics.
