lets not forget about the weight differences between the barands of trucks will the toy pull 9900lbs ? 15 sec 1/4mi in a 6000lb 4x4 im not disappointed at all in my s/c and it sounds great to i just got a tune for the s/c from toyer last night so i think ill pick up a little in the 1/4mi sure i wish it would go faster but hay thats what a 5.0 stang is for. pound for pound the f-150 still king of the hill. the toy has to use 91 gas from the factory so how much would a superchip tune do for a toy wanabe pickup with no 8ft bed? ha

You can't always test at the same temp and conditions no matter how hard you try. Depending on what season it is, it's either gonna be hot or cold.

All I am trying to say is that you can't compare numbers unless they were taken on the same day, on the same track and in the same conditions.

flanaganman is right about the weight difference. My buddy sends me links to threads on a Titan forum occasionally and one of those guys weighed his crew cab 4x4 at a truck stop and got 5332 lbs. That's quite a bit less than a Screw 4x4 F150 would weigh.

You also have to consider gearing. There's a big difference between a 5- speed auto and a 4 speed.

flanaganman the crew cab titan 4x4 weighs 5,300lbs and my crew 4x4 weighs 5,600 so the supercab that was tested has to be about 5,400-5,500 which isn't that much bigger. We can go days with this post so lets not forget why were here, I said congrats to fordmandan for his SC , I wish I had mine right now Im a little jealous like some of you, but im just a little dissapointed on the #'s against a stock competiter like the titan. Now about the towing the titan Supercrew 4x4 with tow package can tow 9,400lbs. And my Supercrew 4x4 5.4L w/3.73ls with tow package can only do 9,200lbs and these #'s are from there web sites so you can think whatever you wanna, Im not gonna count on the titan out towing me untill some one does some test on the two, cause like I said the #'s matter.

The true test would be...

F150 pulling a Titan on a trailer
&
Titan pulling a F150 on a trailer

...that way both weight is the same

So like I said with a tuner, those titans are going to keep up or beat a 14.9 1/4mi.
They have a tuner available for them and they make very very little difference, the guys over at the titan forum were all excited until they ran and found out that gains were 1 to 2 hp and almost no real difference in 1/4 mile.
Suck to find out that a Titan is "maxed out". From the Factory they are pretty much as fast as your gonna get one.
But with a 4x4 i really am not so concerned about 1/4 mile time how bout the fact my truck tows more than a Titan, great wish i could have a jap trap truck.....NOT.
:santa:

Why would that suck? Ever since the aftermarket tuners started coming out for the F150's people have been asking why Ford didn't program it like that from the factory.

Its very simple the harder your parts work the faster they wear, that adds in some ways to warranty costs. Most people out there are happy with the power of there trucks, so the few who want more power can do that by themselves.

I think some of you guys just need to go buy a damn titan since you seem to like it so much......... The truth of the matter here is that our supercrew/supercab truck is essentially the same truck as far as weight goes give or take a few and it runs over 16 seconds stock. Generally 16.1-16.5 depending on conditions. There is one thing about our trucks that will not easily be changed and that is weight....it's there and that's that. To go from 16+ to a 14.9 is great in my opinion and to be able to drive this truck every day with this same setup AND keep your warranty is also great. No matter how you look at it, these trucks are just heavy, and to call that a slow time for a pig of a truck is rediculous. And the SRT-10 has a damn V10 viper engine and it doesn't weigh a million pounds so who cares if it goes another 1.5 seconds faster.....it dang sure better! And Hotboy, I don't know who told you or where you read that the X2 knocks off 1.2-2.0 seconds but that is a complete line of *****. The X2/X1 generally knocks off around .4-.5 in 1/4 mile at best. To gain 2 full seconds in our trucks, you would need at least 200+ HP and there isn't a tuner out there that's gonna do that without some other help. I give a BIG to Ford Da Man for doing this and everything comming out ok! Sounds great and looks awesome!
