Outside Temperature reading problems
Ford never says all the changes a reflash makes. Usually it will list some, but I've never seen all in a list. However, I'm 95% sure this reflash only affects the temp gauge (or other accesories) and not engine performance. The reason I say this is that it came out within a very short time of the complaint. This can't happen on a normal reflash (engine or trans changes) as the EPA has to emisions certify the new program and it takes time.
Also, I normally try to reflash my vehicles at every time I have the WDS hooked to them. Most reflash's only offer improvements it's only about 1 out of 1000 that anything negitive happens. Granted most of you don't have a WDS so this isn't an option, but if your trucks in being worked on and they say their going to reflash it don't be afraid.

XCR440SP, any more news on this? has there been a new SSM issued since the last one you posted mentioning "WDS B27.10 RELEASE OR HIGHER?" I am taking my truck in this Saturday to have it flashed and I want to be sure I/they have the right info. thanks.
I don't know of anything more recent, but if the WDS hasn't been updated within the last week it won't let them reflash until they update. This is done over the Fordstar satelite and takes a few minutes. So worst case is you are current up to a week ago, but I don't think that anythings been released lately.
