Good post, and exactly my feelings!

My friends 02 Ram, its ok lookin, ok interior, but the quality is horrible. When you shut the hood, it rattles like a tin can. Going over bumps, the windshield and side windows actually shift...err....yea, not safe at all.

Its no Hemi, so I whoop em every time in a race.

My friends 00 Silverado. Nice truck, feels too light, not really a work truck. Fast though.

who really cares about 1/4 mile stuff in a truck, well, besides the sport trucks (lighting, etc). If I wanted to go 1/4 miling, it would not be in a truck for sure. The hemi seems to be a nice motor, let me see one after 100k miles being used for work/towing.

Perhaps the 4 wheel disc brakes do not fair aswell, but in my '98 the front disc brake pads made it to 65k without having any reason to replace (and didn't need the rotors machined even then), and I'm at 104k now and have still not had any reason to touch the rear drums. Needless to say, I can't complain....
