F-150 versus new Durango crash

This just happened today in my district. 10th gen F-150 T-boned a brand-new Dodge Durango. Minor injuries to both parties. Ford got bent up, but that Durango looks like it went through a tornado. We used the jaws to pry open the drivers door. Pictures distributed via the local paper.

I'd estimate the collision speed to be between 15 and 35 mph.

I hit the other truck in my wreck at about 20-30 mph. That had to be about the same. No way 15 MPH can cause that much damage to both vehicles.

Yeah, had to be more than that. Especially since the Durango looks like it ended up on its side at one point.

I just noticed that.

How the hell did that Durango flip on it's side if the truck hit it as low as the impact point appears to be?

enough force, ripped the tires off the bead from the directional hit. Could probably put it on it's side.

See the yellow curb in the first pic? That would do it.

I think the new Durango is extremely attractive, much better than the older ones for sure.
That's also an R/T with the 5.7 Hemi, bet it moves pretty well.

Good to hear there were no serious injuries.
