XLT write up PLEASE!!!!!!

Hey guys,

im new here and just bought my first f150(99 xl supercab 4.6 auto 2wd)
and looking to do a boat load of mods. like my first one i would like to do is make my xl in to a xlt. but after looking and looking i have not been able to find a good write on this(power windows, locks). i know i will have to get a aftermarkert kit for the windows and locks, but what else will i need? Also i will like to use the xlt door panel and switches.

thanks, Matt

your truck should be prewired in the dash for them, just need the hardware and the door harnss.

also power mirrors, keyless entry

Basically all power option, a 60/40 bench (if not already equipped), think you'll need carpet too, overhead console, etc. Etc.

Congrats on the new purchase! But figure out a way to muffle the scream of your wallet on occasion.

Not all xlt's had 60/40. Mine has buckets, but to the OP I would say as PAT suggested. Just hit up the junk yards and try to find the parts there.

Nice truck. But if yours is an xl then those seats ARE NOT stock. Those are lariat seats. Just hit up the junkyard and you'll get everything you need. Welcome to the site.

Thanks, so does anyone have any ideas on what to do about the seats? does anyone know of good seat covers for around $200-$300?

Wow, yeah someone put those in there, and obviously forgot the center console. But they do look to be in rough shape. Hit the JY and see if you can't find new seats. That's where I got mine!

Why not just get the seats recovered?

Those are the same seats my 99 xlt has except mine were not leather. My truck didnt come with keyless entry only the remote key that unlocks the doors. when I think keyless entry i think the pad on the door handle. I've seen that an newer but not on a 99. I wouldnt worry about getting everything just the stuff you like. installing power windows is a drag good luck with that. Me if I wanted a more optioned truck I'd just buy one and sell the one I have. Simpler that way.
