There are a huge list of things I would like to do with my truck. I understand babysteps though. I guess I will start from where the truck was, and where it is now (not much change), but hopefully in near future I can adjust a lot of that.

I plan on taking it in friday to the place that sanded my rotors (as they thought that was the problem) and have them check it out, hopefully me complarining will give them a reason to potentially clean it out / fix it.

Moving from there, couple weeks ago got a 5" lift along with 35" nitto muds and 17" rbp wheels. Here is a look on them





If you look at the photo you will notice a dent in my bumper. The chrome doesn't seem to be flaking or anything so was going to attempt to pop this out. Does anyone have any recommendations / links on how to do this with the chance of success?

While there may be many more things I want to do to the truck, these are just a list of the ones I want as of off the top of my head. If you know any of these and can give me pointers I would greatly appreciate it. Or hell, even if you could give me ball park price ranges I might expect, be great too. Many of these I won't worry about for sometime, only ones I want to focus on right away due to prices and what I personally am looking for first are

I did 2,3,7,8

yes paint ur honeycomb and use that exact stuff. mine turned out wonderful and is still holding up with no chips or fading and i did mine in november.

tint ur tail lights its easy.

gotts mod is easy.

and my exhasut is dynomax bullet muffler si/so y pipe and dual satraight out the back. sounds perfect for what i wanted. i would highly recommend it as alot of others on here will.

and i say yes to all of the other stuff also.

as for headlights go with the ones joh has (blacked lightning reps) not a big fan of the others.

1) Either one will look good. Make sure if you get the 2nd ones to open them up and paint them black.
2) Tinted tails look awesome. I followed the directions and mine turned out pretty good.
3) I painted mine white. I think it looks good and fills my need for a grill. You could go black too and it would look good with the first set of headlights and bumper pad
4) Start at the bottom with the plastic rivet. Pop that out and then go along the fender flare pushing up and they clips will pop off. Sand it with like 400 and then hit it with adhesion promoter and then Krylon Fusion. Put some duplicolor clear on it after
5) Take valence off so there is easier access to the bumper pad. The white clips pop off if you push in the center.
7) I like the sound of a bullet as well
8) Really easy to do with an angle grinder
12) Pacesetter quick trips are like $250 I think if you don't mind them being ceramic coated
13) If you can wait, try to hold off for the next presale of the Stereo Integrity BM MKIII 12" shallow sub. You can get 2 for less than a 13tw5

 

Great looking truck! The smoked/black heads and tails would fit nicely with the black on white theme you have going. The gotts mod I think is better than a CAI...don't bother wasting the money imo. I would suggest painting the lower valance. Other than that nice job so far!

 

Dang... A drastic change so far and looks awesome. Taking off the fender flares is easy. I used a panel clip tool to help with the removal of the plastic clips. As far as the fender, I believe it is double wall... not so easy to knock out. Nice List.... keep us updated

 

Well I don't see dent or any chrome on your fender but I notice it on your bumber, so I am geussing you were thinking about your fender flares and typed fender. As far as geting that dent out good luck since that is more of a steracutle pices then a fender or bed side so the meatel is much harder.
Oh and good luck on getting the shop to look at your truck for free again if you did the lift since they looked at it last time.

 

Wow, its been a long day. The whole numbers and list things was killing me so I just quoted it.

I pretty much think the majority of the list is great of good ideas, so I will tell you what I dont agree with.

For 1 regearing should be up at the top of that list. I would do that ASAP. Also, you wont want to run headers and high flow cats at the same time. I would say one or the other because it will make your exhaust pop like a ****, and I have heard of it causing lean issues on stock oxygen sensors. I dont know what the white door light covers are.. ya lost me there .

Everything else is good! Hell, 1-6,8, and 14 can all be done for less than $100 in one weekend. Bedliner is a good investment also, make sure you get a good warranty on it.

 

you talking about the dent in the bumper? Bumpers are really thick metal and you will not be successful at "popping" it out. Chrome bumpers are dime a dozen on Craigslist, just shop around before you pick one up.

Please use the right paint when you do your fenders. Personally I think white would look better on your truck than black. I used SEM automotive paint and its been on since my transformation thread and it still looks new with no chips at all. I use to have tan all the way around.

 

Remove your door moldings as well. Truck looks good man.

Haha no its not that. I feel like his truck has more chrome than yours for some reason. Your wheels call for a more blacked out look. While his is blacked out as well, I think the white will look better on his fenders and I think black looks better on yours.

 

Haha ya I was just joking. BTW, thanks for the suggestion back then. I probably wouldn't have started the stormtrooper look without doing the fender flares black in the first place.
