actually i dont know if that is true. i have seen that too and i have also seen 210 for one year but i cant find anything that changed within the 97-05 4.2L to account for that increase and decrease. if anyone can find info, please supply it. id like to see why the rating went up and down between years.
theres a varying amount of factors that could play in for such a small change. if it was 20 hp, then something was mechanically changed but Ford's dynos seem to flucuate a lot over the years. a 4.2L is a 4.2L

well im guessing the challenge has changed to "who can make the darkest video and say they would win the race?" why does everyone have to do videos at night? mine are there....plain and simple...and people can see them. if you are afraid to do a video during the day because you might be seen doing htem or whatever then get the hell outta here. make a video during the DAYTIME and clear enough to see the numbers on the speedo.

Here argue this:

1970 Chevelle SS 454 vs a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 - 454 in the long run

1970 Mach 1 390 vs a 1970 Mach 1 351 - 390 in the long run

You agree with that or not?

Now look at this:

2003 Ford F150 4.2L vs 2003 Ford F150 5.4L - 4.2L all day long? in the long run? neither?

In simpler terms: My sons YZ85 stock vs YZ85 bored to 103.5cc same bottom end, same stroke, identical gearing and of course, bigger bore. 103.5 all day long.
look below... he sums it up. not talking about engines from the same years. talking about engines with smaller displacements replaceing the older engines because they have a lot more power and/or efficiency.

you got it...

I would be up for a race..not saying i would win or lose but i know i wouldnt "eat" them. if i did win it would be by very little.

some places say 202 from 97-08 others have it changing from 205 to 210 to 205 to 202 to 205 to 202 within like 7 years. the higher ones were around the 2000 year to 03 i think. but if you look them up, nothing changes between the years in the engine and they are supposed to be dynoed out of a vehicle but with the standard added equipment. at least thats how i always thought they did it. they are dynoing hte engine only.

This is awesome hahaha

Bring it pat.

But in all seriousness it would be interesting to see a n/a 4.6 screw vs a n/a 4.2 scab run especially with my 4.56 gears and manual trans.

But the real test would be me racing b2therad since we both have the same yr size and brand tire and same gear ratio
