Right, I did that last time so I didn't need to this morning. I blew out that Amsoil filter and cleaned the MAF as well. I checked the filter here and there, but it didn't look bad. Anyway, first time I blew it out in over a year, -didn't look dirty, but quite a bit of dust flew from it when I gave it some air. The MAF wires were still shiny, I used a little paint brush and alcohol to assist just to go over it.

Funny, when I ran a K&N filter, cleaning was a PITA. The intake, TB and MAF would be wasted by this time and my gas mileage would have fallen drastically. Not this time, everything was still surprisingly clean, like nothing got past that filter.

I've heard mixed stories on K&Ns. I bought my 77-series back in '07 and have cleaned it 3 times, but last week when I cleaned my MAF for the first time since 1998 it wasnt that dirty

Oh yea, it's a dry element, -I'll run nothing but that now. I got mine from user Galaxy's link.

I wish I could find one to cross reference with my Volant Cold air box, but I haven't been able to do so. The Volant box looks much better, -fits better, but the Volant filters are oiled. So I have to run my factory box to use a good dry element. Unless I purchase a different CAI all together.

Yea, I can't recall what series I use to run. I was an older type I think. Nothing but bad luck with it. I have a pic of it somewhere, yea here -

Here's a pic of the one I'm running now, it's the one that looks sortuh like the factory filter -

Yes, there isn't an expiration date. They just say to clean once a year lol.
