Where do I start with the Rebirth of my truck?

Alright, i have a 02 xcab 4x4 xlt v8. and other than I believe the tires, its all stock. I think my grandfather got nicer tires. Well, I'm not exactly the stock type right? But being a HS kid, Money is a tad tight. I got a 12 or 1300 dollar budget for this summer/fall. I'm expecting to spend around 800 on the system. So my reason or this thread is. with the 500 dollar left over. where do I go from there? Also, any advice on what I should do for the system? my primary goal is to get good bass. I can sacrifice geting new door speakers if you think stock is good enough. And im making custom box. So just tell me amp, subs (12" preferrably) and head unit brands. Along with any thing else that falls in the about 500 dollar range to make my truck. slightly more bad ***. ha. Fire away people

looks like you've got a pretty good start. you could upgrade your headlights. or say screw the system and buy a lift.. or maybe find a set of wheels/tires on here or craigslist somewhere for cheap.

And i gave some consideration to the lift. I really do like the idea. But A system is like my top priority. any other ideas? like just the little random here and there thing that in the end can make a big difference

well ur mirrors and handles are already ptm so thats out of the way. you could get some decal overlays from patriotdecals.com. or go the next to free route, and use acetone on your badges to make them "chrome". or upgrade your badges to newer f150 badges. LED tails & a nice set of L or some other clear headlights would be very nice. and some window tint. there goes ur $500.

Were nice truck man.

id recommend pioneer headunits just simply because of the quality. and then might as well do the door speakers while your at it since theyll only be about 150-200 extra and the outside looks good as is for now especially since money is tight and increasing tire size = more money on gas

Side not 4000th post

yea, i was thinking about just tinting the backlights and getting some black projector heads. and some of the other stuff sounds good. This is pretty much just a temp budget. For this summer and fall. then i could make additions afterwards.

imo opinion, clear headlights will look better on your white truck than the ricey black projectors. same thing for the rear. some clear LED tails would look sharp. jus my .02

I agree, to a certain degree. See My thing is in the future I am gonna get this truck lifted and probably a new grill, and i think the black projectors would look beautiful on that. and im not completely sold on the clear ones yet, i do like them though. as for the tail lights i completely agree that would look great, but im just not sure about the headlights though. and obviously im not gonna go black head clear tail haha. but that extra break light on yours and jakes, that looks kinda sharpp too, thinking about that, but i dont think theres an arguement, i could use the new headlights more ha

he also has the upgraded badges like i was suggesting. i smoked my 3rd brake light because the red stood out against the black window trim. i'm all about making things not visible to the untrained eye lol

Nice looking truck I love the color lol, one word of advise, if your going to swap out the head lights spray the heck out of the clips with penetrating or silicon spray several days in advance, and when you think you have sprayed enough get another can and spray some more...see my thread on changing out the lights....I will tell you that a radio / head unit swap is a piece of cake and I undertook that this past weekend and I wish I had undertaken it in my old 97 XLT.
