If it has not started to eat its way into the metal and is just surface rust you can sandblast or simply sand it off, then I would use a rubberized undercoating.

Its still the same process but now you just have to fix it with welding.

I had some random rust dots on the paint about two years ago but I rubbed them out with compound and waxed the whole truck good and haven't seen them since. As far as underbody I don't knowmaybe I should check. lol

when you say "underbody" do you mean the literal body or something like the frame?

Well then sand it down and you can easily coat it. I coated my frame with flat back Engine paint. That stuff is tough, looks great still. I have to fine tune the rest of it this summer and do some dressing up. The exhaust... well that's just an excuse to get a custom set-up

It's only a couple of bucks. The reason I did engine paint, is because it is hi temp, so there is no way that anything is going to be able to get through it. I didn't want rust. The Por-15 stuff is a very good product from the reviews that I have read, however to me, until the day where I can get the cab and bed lifted off the chassis to do some serious painting and protection, I am perfectly fine with my method and saving some serious $$. I feel that it is more durable than the rustoleum regular spray. I believe the engine paint I got was made my rustoleum.

I have the same issues and have never really noticed until today when I pulled the vallance back under the front radiator. The frame that holds the bottom of the cooler was rusted through and dropped about a 1/2 inch allowing the cooler lines to rub and create a leak. What a mess I've got on my hands.
