I scuffed my whole frame, front end, rear, etc and then did a couple coats of gloss black rustoleum. Brushing it on is a PITA but it looks good and holds up real well, never had a problem. Plus you can play around with some accenting colors under there too.

Ever figure out what you're going to do about that rust? I'm probably going to put some sort of undercoating on mine once summer rolls around.

I wonder if the por-15 3-step system works well, I've heard people saying por-15 doesn't work well but my guess is they are just using the actual por-15 and not using the marine clean and metal ready that it recommends for the first 2 steps. This rust issue is getting me nervous, especially the rust at the bottom inside of my doors.

ya i hear alot of people with our trucks have the problem with the bottom of the doors. you need to get rid of that fast.
most of those people just took it to local body shops for quotes or advice.

I put POR-15 on my frame right after I got my truck and have gotten it oiled once a year before winter every year and it's holdin up great with the salt. I hate rusted frames!

Easy fix bro! Just time consuming! Its more than worth it, and when anyone looks under there they are going to say "wow, thats really clean". I have gone over mine again since those pics, but thats pretty much how it looks still. Just spray degreaser on it and pressure wash.. dirt,mud,roadkill.. whatever it all comes right off. Then you are left with a shiny black frame.. no rust

WEAR A PLASTIC SUIT OR SOMETHING!!! I just wore shorts and a t-shirt. Biggest mistake I ever made. I had black paint on my legs, arms, hands and hair for 2 weeks. :o
