Dinggus I was talking about the discussion on page 14 or so of this thread about scraping off the white lumpy and the green tint. Didn't quite understand what was going on there. I've never had a cluster out of a truck.

Did you lay a red plastic over the gauge cluster? Some of the shift indicator lights look like they have nothing there. Just lost what was going on there.

When you take the cluster out, and have it apart, the black cluster is glued onto the plastic frame, seperate it. Once it is sepreated, the backing of the numbers/etc. are white bumpy stuff, and you have to scratch through that, then you'll get to the green tint and you just scratch the green tint off as well. Once I did that, I tried red LED's and they didn't cover the whole cluster in red like I wanted, so then my wife and I just went out and she got me this red film roll from Michael's. From there, I cut out strips and I just taped them to the cluster. Once I was happy, I just glued the cluster back on to the plastic frame, put it together, replaced the red LED's and put the stock bulbs back on and now I have a red cluster, instead of green. Only problem I had was with the gear gauge, if you scratch it off, it also scratches the black off. So, now I have to buy a new one and experiment.

---

I'm checking the truck this morning for the wires to plug in for my taillights.

The wires I checked all looked plugged in, maybe it's a fuse.

Thanks. Now I just have to have the shop make my taillights work again and also find out why I'm getting PO455 code on the truck.

Alex7191, got it at patriotdecal.com

I'm trying to get rid of my center console, and only way to do that is with these parts that I need, once I get them, I can then remove my center console from my 60/40 seat.

Seat Pan- #YL3Z-1563100-BB
* Found the parts, but just verifying this is correct and will work for my passenger seat, once I remove the center console.
Seats and tracks - Front seat components - Spring assy - Front seat cushion
Front seat cushion Right - 40/20/40 bench & captain chair 2000 - 2002
I need it basically to be a seat pan just for the passenger seat, instead of a seat pan for the console and seat.

Seat Bracket- #F65Z-1561709-CAJ*
* Can't find the bracket, it says it's discounted.

Seat Lever - #YL3Z-15603A86-BAA
* Is this also for just the passenger seat or does it include the console?
Seats and tracks - Tracks and components - Handle - Passenger seat
Passenger seat Back - Captains chairs 1997 - 2004

I'm liking the cluster lights! They turned out really well.

And a Whipple, Eaton, and MP (Magnum Powers) are superchargers. Which you should get now!!!

Those run how much? I don't think itll be a good idea to put a supercharger on an engine with 73,000mi.

Sure it is. As long as you don't run a lot of boost. They cost about $4,000 for a complete kit.
