if your wheels were black pat i'd say do the black hood, but with the chrome I don't think it would look as good.

Silver with the STX bumper FTW. Maybe paint over the chrome that was on there?

Latest news is no good, they want to total it now. They appraised for my aftermarket stuff that was damaged, and took more of the truck apart and apparently found more damage. Estimate was stopped at 8400 bucks. Might still be more damages beyond that.

At this point i have two options. Take the 8400 and repair any further damages at my own expense.

or take their estimated value of 11,200. and walk away. They are docking value off of the truck for my modded parts, like my back seats, tailgate missing etc. So i will be demodding it, returning the tailgate, and getting it reappraised if i go that route.

Tough tough decision ahead of me

well that blows!! If you think you can get it fixed then fix it on your own, but if you think its too big of a headache then just take the cash. sorry to hear that though. its a damn shame!

Truck was paid off this last October, been nice being able to mod it since i wasnt paying for it anymore. Might be ahead depending on what mods i can get off of the truck, and what truck i would buy next

I had just under 70,000 miles on her, so the powertrain was just getting broken in

Pat,
I know you're really upset about the whole thing but if it was me I would return it to as stock as possible and take the money. If it has that much damage in my opinion the truck will never be the same or as dependable as it was. Thats a hell of a down payment on a new vehicle. You could find a really nice lightning or HD for close to that and you could re-use your box and a few other misc parts too
