I have the right to choose to repair the vehicle, after all, I am the owner.

Financially tho i dont think that would be in my best interest, i would probably have to spend 1500-2500 out of pocket to keep my truck. I dont have that kind of cash lying around....

Bummer bout the truck Pat. I know all too well that feeling watching your truck being loaded on a rollback and it ain't too much fun looking at the pile of junk your stripping parts off of either.

But it's time to start off with something fresh and new(er). Plus, now that you've got some coin working at a dealer instead of having some ugly broad watching you fold clothes, you won't have to DIY the hell outta it.

the saleen and roush chargers are available on both the Harley trucks and the "other" F-150's it is probably a marketing sceme in order to try and make a faster sale

if a guy had to dip a small loan to get yourself back on the road with the current ride, wouldn't necessarily be bad. unless you are willing to walk away and into a new ride.
I personally go the repair route, just because it is in a vehicle you "know" the history on, I am not a fan of the second hand sales lately but in the end it is your truck, your choice and your future toy good luck man. keep the group updated on the happenings.

Hopefully you can find something in a 5.4L pkg, and in the future throw a Roush charger in it! I personally would never want a regular cab. Not just the fact that I usually have people in my truck, but I need my rear space. Security for things that cant be in the bed ( my fourwheeler ramps for example ) and a sound system in a single cab is some tight spaces to work with.

One thing that does suck though is the L replicas you just bought, but maybe you could get a potential buyer shortly after your new truck and find a set for the new one and it could be a pretty much easy trade over for you. Wish you luck on the research, and sorry to hear about the ole Fiddy.

Pat I know its hard to take stuff like this all at once but it could always be worse. Your girl and you didnt get hurt, you still have your health and I am a firm believer that God doesnt give you more than you can handle. I hope you get a job soon and I hope you can still buy yourself a nice truck. Take it from someone who had to let his entire staff go this past year. On top of that I broke my foot and wasnt able to work for 5 months. Then some stupid girl ran into my truck which has been at the bodyshop since it happened in october. Then my bronco that was my daily driver lost OD which is a $900 fix. If it wasnt for my 99 F150 I would be on public trans. So it could be worse but thank God your ok. I could tell you a bunch of cliches but all you need to hear is that things will definitely get better.

Holy crap I just read the bad news or should I say double bad news. Really sorry to hear this stuff man. Things usually get worse before they get better and it sounds like you've taken your share of the worst. Stay positive, things will work out.

Wow! I feel bad for you Patman!

I can't believe that it is totaled. It's soooo friggin' sad!

I still say you should get a small loan and fix it. After all it protected you and your girlfriend and it's got a lot behind it.

But I dunno... depending on the cost to get it repaired, if it's more than $8k, then I'd just let it go.

Moreover it sucks that you lost your job!

I hope things start turning for the better.
