Defco Trucks’ F-350 Raptor Set for SEMA
F-150 Raptor or Mega Raptor not beefy enough for you? Meet the mighty BA350.
It’s not exactly a secret that Ford’s F-150 Raptor is one of our favorite rides. And why wouldn’t it be? With a snarling twin-turbo V6, Baja-tuned suspension, and insane capabilities, it’s basically the perfect truck. But we aren’t alone in our feelings for this destroyer of off-road obstacles, as the F-150 Raptor is selling like hot cakes. Which means that expanding the brand to include a Ranger Raptor and Super Duty Raptor makes perfect sense.
Ford has already pulled the covers off the Ranger Raptor. Or at least confirmed its existence. A Super Duty Raptor, however, remains elusive. Unless you look to the aftermarket, of course. Because Defco Trucks already builds the awesome F-250 based Mega Raptor. And now, they’ve set their sites on an even heavier-duty build. Dubbed the BA350, Defco aims to take a brand new F-350 and turn it into an unstoppable off-road beast. We learned of the big(ger) Raptor after the truck lovers over at The Fast Lane Truck caught wind of their plans.
The basic concept of the BA350 is similar to that of the Mega Raptor. Take a stock truck, throw on custom wide-body fenders, a lift kit, beefy suspension with King shocks, and 43-inch Continental tires. Add on plenty of custom bodywork, including beefy bumpers and a Raptor-like front grille. Tune up the already powerful 6.7 liter Power Stroke diesel, and presto, instant Super Duty Raptor!
Like you, we’re more than a little interested to see how this beastly HD Raptor turns out. And if Defco’s plan to have it ready for the 2017 SEMA show holds true, we’ve only got to wait a few more weeks. Considering how great the Mega Raptor turned out, we have little reason to doubt that the BA350 will be every bit as awesome.
