Proof that a Raptor Can Do Virtually Anything...Except Float

Senior citizen’s mishap lands her and her Ford truck perilously submerged in a pool before quick-thinking hero saves the day.

We just caught wind of the weirdest accident that happened in San Diego recently. Somehow a Ford Raptor lost control, careened off the road, rolled down a hill, knocked down multiple fences and came to rest in a swimming pool. The truck landed sideways in the water, with the 68-year old driver still inside. According to local news station Fox 5 San Diego, the woman was then trapped inside and a bystander had to jump in to rescue her.

Now, we aren’t saying that she wasn’t legitimately trapped. Even a small amount of water can be enough to make a door hard to open, and being a 68-year-old woman who just rolled down a hill in a Raptor, you might not have the strength. However, looking at the accident photo, we just want to know if she even tried to roll down the window.

There is no available information about what caused the accident, and we have no specific details regarding how cool a grandma must be to drive a Ford Raptor.

Regardless, when she panicked and couldn’t get out, a quick-thinking gentleman jumped to her rescue. You want to talk about being heroic, Gabriel Mejia sure makes a good example. He jumped on the truck with a brick to smash the window, then punched the window through and proceeded to rip the glass out with his bare hands. Cut and bleeding, he grabbed the driver and held on to her, keeping her above the water until the rescue squad could arrive.

In the end, by some miraculous circumstance, nobody was killed in this fiasco. Gabriel was treated for cuts to his hands, and the driver was taken to a local hospital for a head injury. There is no available information about what caused the accident, and we have no specific details regarding how cool a grandma must be to drive a Ford Raptor.
