EB = Awesome!
Just though id write a positive post about the EB. Seems like everyone in complaining about something, I have zero complaints! Pickup is tough, pulls strong, and sexy as hell! Love the sound of the turbos spooling up and then it's go time! Nothing better than pulling up to a stop light next to a Chevy or Dodge, looking over to catch them checking out my rig and then blowing their doors off when it turns green! Normally they try or the first 100 feet or so until they realize their isn't a chance. Bahahahaha! Averaging 18.2 isn't bad considering I drive 70% in town. Anyways just figured I would throw a positive EB post out!

I agree, no problems yet with my 2012 FX4 SCREW EB..16,000 problem free miles, and no problems pulling my Axis A20.
Glad to read the good stories too.
Would like to see better MPG but averaging 15 with my lead foot is not bad (50/50 city highway..but not pulling though)!

I have been one of the ones having issues with the intercooler and driver's side cat. But hey I knew that was the risk with buying the first year F150 with that platform. I had to complain to Ford a few times and I was taken care of. New intercooler has been installed along with drivers side cat. But overall I can't say enough good about this truck. It has been by far the most fun to drive truck I have ever owned/been in. Its smooth for those long drives, pulls my 21' bowrider likes it not even there, has survived the 100+ degree hay field pulling a lowboy with 100+ square bales and has pulled my parent's 28 foot travel trailer without an issue.
I now have 27,000 miles and I get a smile on my face everytime I drive it.......especially when I get beside some buildings, roll the windows down and ease into the boost. That noise is pure sex.

Hey Guys, like LS1 I too have been having the minor issue with the CAC, it’s on order and hopefully it will solve the issues everyone is having. I’m not bashing the ECO at all, I have had several Ford Gassers and this has by far been the most powerful, enjoyable truck I have had yet (with the exception of built mud trucks, hence the name Mudmaster).
I have almost 21,000 on it now which includes a 6,000 mile round trip from the East coast to Yellowstone through the Rocky Mountains, down to Texas and back across through the Appalachian Mountains. For the entire trip I averaged 18.4 MPG hand calculated, not to bad for a Supercrew, four adults and the 6 ½’ foot bed nearly full.

It depends what I'm towing. 90% of the time I just put it in tow/haul and let it do its thing. It really does a great job of holding gears longer and downshifting when braking to help with stopping. Only time I ever override what tow haul is doing is when I'm pulling something pretty substantial and have a decent incline coming. I will usually bump it down to 5th just to already have the RPMs up when I begin ascending. But overall tow/haul does great on its own.

I love mine and haven't had any problems with it, except for the Sync which goes deaf and dumb about once a year. I guess they chose to use a woman's voice for a reason.
As far as pick up, I normally don't race, because to me it's pointless. The other day however. I was sitting at a red light I was in the right lane, but needed t be in the left lane. Around here most people take of like a 90 year old, so I normally don't have too many issues getting over. This day some douche in a Chevy decided he wanted to keep me behind him. I took off like I normally do and was leaving him, then I hear his engine take off. So pushed my throttle half way down. It looked like the guy'enginene stalled he wenbackwardds so quickly.

Just for the record, The sound of twin turbo's spooling up can be very addictive too. Just about everyone has a good sounding V8 in there truck. A quiet exhaust with the whistle of turbos is the new craze that's catching on these days.
