Buick has been impressing me lately and this now from Lincoln is what I think they need. I think the big automakers are finally realizing they need to get back to the images they used to have. What a sharp looking Continental as opposed to their late 1990s or early 2000's ones.

Not real crazy about the wheels and the shiny interior but the exterior design is nice looking.

Now drop that drivetrain into the Fusion. Ford desperately needs a sporty/performance sedan. Everything they have is boring. They need something to compete with the Germans.

I doubt it would be on modified fusion chassis

Lots of Jag/Range Rover interior styling cues

Bentley designer called them out for stealing design. Can't say I blame him.

I thought it was a pretty darn decent looking car when I fist saw it. Now that I've seen the Bentley, oh boy, can you say blatant copy. Disappointing.

Boy have you got that one right -- walking through a Ford dealer right now is like walking down the aisle at Sears and looking at refrigerators! While you might need a Fusion or need an Escape or need a Taurus, there are scant few vehicles in the Ford line-up outside of the trucks that make you say, "I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!!"

And if they come out with one more souped-up variation of the Mustang designed for 60-year-old men with huge wallets I just might puke......

I can see a little bit of the Bentley in it, but it looks more like the Phaeton/A8 than the Bentley version of that platform. The Bentley looks like a 300C. There is also a bit of Jag flavor there too. The real problem stems from the pedestrian and crash standards. They impose a lot of requirements onto the body shape that paint the designers into a corner. The end result is all the cars look the same.

Now if they would only offer it in a RWD.

It said that it was using the same AWD setup as the Focus RS. The electronic diffs in it can control the power output to make it act like a RWD car. Making one into an almost full RWD could be just a tune away. A proper AWD setup isn't bad to drive and can be a lot of fun at the stoplights.

But, like Paw Paw, I'm not crazy about the wheels. In fact, I think they're hideous! *barf* I keep coming back to this thread, hoping they'll grow on me, and they DO, like a fungus in an area we must not mention.

Other than the ugly feet, I think the car is nicely designed.

Those rims are overkill. Too much shimmer and glamor.

...and an optional goat buggy. With 24" wheels, of course.

All of today's cars look like they derived from the late 80's Audi sedan!

If they're like this one I don't see that as a bad thing!
