Texas Judge comments on ObamaCare
I'm only posting the meat of his comments, not the long commentary that goes with it. If yer over 35 years of age, you need to pay attention. They are putting a cap on the healthcare you will be able to get. The older you are, the more likely the doctor will call for euthanasia or in terms you might better understand, the doctor will kill you with a needle and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. This is the same healthcare debacle they have in the Neatherlands and elder folks are terrified to go to a doctor because they might not come home. This is how they intend to control cost by getting rid of the unhealthy. Here's the comments:
JUDGE KITHIL continued: "Other problems I have with this bill include:
** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all
non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.
** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an
individual's bank account and will have the authority to make
electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the
government) for all union members, union retirees and for community
organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for
Reform Now - ACORN).
** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be
treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with
that?)
** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of
specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees.
** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according
to the patient's age.
** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on
hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an
exception.
** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning
consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an
"end-of-life planning" seminar every five years.
** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors
can write an end-of-life order.
Judge Kithil then goes on:
"Finally, it is specifically stated this bill will not apply to
members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the
Social Security system and have a well-funded private plan that covers
their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I
believe they would find a very quick "fix" to make the plan
financially sound for the future."
Honorable David Kithil

If you don't see a problem here, you are blind. I'd suggest a call or email to your Senators office.

I'm coming to realize that most Americans want some sort of Marxist/Socialist/Facist hybrid system.
Either that, or they simply don't care. Either way, most people foolishly trust the government to do what is best.
In the new Amerika, we will keep a few remants of Capitalism and our Constitution as window dressing. That will make the change easier to sell to the masses.

Might want to get the most current info, the page & line numbers you quoted are not the same in the version passed 8-NOV-09 in the house.
Those items look like the "ones" from the previous House version ( AUG-09 I do believe, HR 3600 ? ).
8-NOV-09 version ( HR 3962 ) :
http://docs.house.gov/rules/health/111_ahcaa.pdf
Might want to have accurate factual information before posting.

Not only was it refering to provisions in an earlier version of the bill but it does not represent those provisions accurately. Very creative interpretations.
This is the kind of fear-mongering that just doesn't belong in reasoned political discourse.

If those items were ever in any version of a bill, the authors should be tarred and feathered and sent Cuba.

Just because the page numbers are not the same, does not mean those items are not there. I love how some people mis-use the term, "fear-mongering."
One aspect in particular is meaningless: Health care for illegals. It is no longer in the bill, but Obama supports amnesty for illegals in the future. So yes, they will get free health care.
Besides, if the basic desired result is "health care for every American", why will 24 million (approx. 1 in 11) be left un-insured?

Edit: Having trouble finding the FULL text of the bill that goes before the Senate Sat. night. (Ugh) It should be 2047 pages.

Wow, read this: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Healt...ory?id=9124461
Looks like Mary Landreau of Louisiana was bought and paid for with a provision just for her home state.
As an aside: What is sad is that anything in this bill can be changed in the future through "policy changes" by this or other administrations. Can you say, "bottomless money pit"?

5 flaws of the health care bill: http://blog.heritage.org/2009/11/19/...d-health-bill/
Looks like this will put many small businesses that can only afford to pay minimum wage (such as service industry jobs) out of business.

If you don't like it you can always move to another country like Canada...oh, they have socialized healthcare, well, there's always Australia...wait, they have socialized healthcare too. Have you considered Spain? Oh, they have socialized healthcare too. Maybe you would like Britain better? Ooops, they have socialized healthcare too. France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, nope, they all have socialized healthcare too. Maybe you would like New Zealand? Nope, they have socialized healthcare too.
I know, Mexico! Nope, socialized healthcare. How about South Africa? Brazil? Costa Rica? Iceland? Nope, they all have socialized healthcare too. And most of them had socialized medicine before they knew what the word "hippie" meant. So don't blame it on the 60's LOL!
The U.S. has the least socialized healthcare of any developed nation. We also have some of the highest rates of people who die because of medical negligence or an inability to get proper care. So maybe you would like socialized healthcare better, most of the rest of the world does. You don't see them complaining about it. We already have socialized fire protection. Maybe we should privatize that. You didn't pay your fire protection premium? Tough, we just let your house burn down, LOL!
I wonder why it's so hard to find a country that DOESN'T have socialized healthcare. Maybe because we're humans and if we can help another in need, we do our best. There are more important things to worry about than whether it cost you a few bucks to help out another human who can't afford it. If you are healthy and have health insurance you are already paying for all those people with poor health, smokers, alcoholics and junk food junkies anyway.
Good grief! You're just lucky the biggest thing you have to worry about is whether you will be forced to help out another human in need. Who really gives a FF? We're all going to be gone from this place soon enough.
