Texas Judge comments on ObamaCare

I'm not going to cut and run like Palin did, I want to stick around and help make the country I love a better place to live. Polls show that 52% of Americans support a public healthcare option and the support for healthcare reform in general is overwhelming. That's why we elected the current crop. It's just the minority who keep trying to poke a stick in the spokes.

I pity you Chris. If I had to live there I believe I would have it surgically straightened. Was in Seattle for about a month and shook the dust off my feet when I left. My son was in a store and leaving was confronted with a person doing voting registration. When my son told him he was a registered Republican, the guy went into shock, and asked my son, why would ANYONE ever do that? Those people don't live in a REAL world up there. You have my sympathies!

The liberal agenda has gotten so bad even Arkansas is becoming a GOP state, at a faster pace after every term. The GOP headquarters here used to look very barren and desolate. But now, theres activity around them.
Even us hillbillies and swamp rats are getting tired of big Guberment.

Uh, no. The healthcare in most (but not all) of the countries I named is better than the U.S. whether you measure infection rates, accidental deaths in hospitals, deaths during childbirth, expected lifespans or deaths from people with no access to healthcare. The U.S. healthcare system has a long ways to go to become as effective as it is in most other developed nations.
That the U.S. healthcare system is somehow better than that in the other developed nations is a fallacy propogated by HMO's and drug companies. It's not supported by the bulk of the statistics.
All this talk about the U.S. going down the tubes because of government playing a larger role is also not supported by the facts. Most developed nations have more taxes and more regulation than the U.S. and yet we are still losing ground in comparison. The U.S. has been damaged by greed and the deregulation mania propogated by corporate leaders and billionaires, that is what brought our economy to it's knees (not too much government interference). Most of those other countries have larger taxes and more regulation and yet we are losing ground. Much of it is due to lack of education and poor reading/math/engineering skills and pure laziness. But it's always easier to blame it on big government as the billionaires (and gullible poor people) like to do even if the facts don't support that.

While there may be a general consensus liking the idea of reform of health care, im sure theres a very large portion of those same individuals who are taken aback by the current plans.
btw real, i thought the original idea of the constitutional rights we were granted was derived from the idea "republic" not "democracy"...

I love it when people make all kind of claims with absolutely NO proof of ANY kind to back those statements. What about the other 48% who want nothing to do with it? Just get it shoved down their throat huh? Take a look at Medicare and Social Security. Both of them flat broke by even the LIBERALS own assessment. Strictly on paper anyway, not one red cent of actual cash there. Why does anyone in their right mind think that a government that can't handle those without a river of red ink think a universal medical care will be any different. It won't! I for one do NOT WANT SOCIALISM and that's what the current crop of Chicago thugs are preparing for us. If EVERYONE wants this so much, why was Obama's job approval rating at 74% after the election and I read in yesterday's paper (liberal media) that it has slipped to below 50%? Why are Reid's rating's of chances of winning 10% below his opponent? Why do they have to do their dirty work in the dark of night, ALWAYS disseminating deception rather than the truth? They know if they were honest about their intentions we would have thrown ALL the bums into the street where they belong before now. Obama promised one of the most transparent administrations ever and has produced one of the most vindictive, secretive, corrupt administrations EVER. God help us ALL!

You mention laziness, that is not P.C., I prefer to call it patience while waiting for the next hand out!

Something that is not being mentioned by the liberals, (since most of them do not grasp economics) is that this health care bill, if passed, will be highly inflationary. It will even further devalue the dollar, which makes imports even more expensive for Americans over time.
Right now 42 cents of every dollar the government spends is printed and/or borrowed. That number will only increase with this bill.
As someone said earlier, "R.I.P. America."
