2007 Lariat Spercrew retail

I am looking at a beautiful black Lariat Supercrew that came to the dealer. It is a 2007 with the unfortunate chrome pkg but still a fantastic truck. It unfortunately has 78k miles. I still ask for their price and its $22k. Seems high? I looked on NADA Blackbook and to my surprise, they have the retail for a truck of those specs to be $25,600... wow. Has costs really gone that high? I bought my '04 XLT Supercab in 2008 for $16k. They said as it sits they will give me a hair under $11k trade.

Having dealing with some minimal issues with my truck, and being very unhappy with its trim pkg, I feel it would benefit me to purchase. But I still want to try for $21k flat.. Sound fair? Or try lower?

I had 72000 miles on my truck 2006 loaded lariat. nice truck. Anyway traded it for 18500 and they sold it a few weeks later for around $21xxx. maybe that will help you compare a little bit

Don't give them your wheels or anything. Keep it if you get a new truck. Find out plug change history, brakes, FPDM etc. All these known issues find out man, might give you some leveling ground

When I bought my 2007 Lariat Supercrew in '09 it had 17k miles on it. I ended up paying around $25K. $22k seems high for as many miles as it has on it. Mine has 41k on it now, just for reference.

No worries man, I am well aware and I do not go truck hunting un-armed on knowledge . The sales consultant is getting me the repair & service history ( it has a full dealership maintenance history ) and I will be requesting a plug change at no cost to me as par agreement.

The only aftermarket parts from my truck coming off will be the wheels & tires, and the PHP Gryphon returned to stock tune. Other than that its staying as is. All LEDs, smoked tails black heads/fogs, tint & Bilsteins.

I told them I would wrap new tires on the OEM 17s" if the high trade in remains.

I don't know if it's worth trading. You have to transfer all that you've done to the 07 to make it look good IMO. Then you would have to redo the exhaust.

Yeah man it is very nice. Still smells a good bit new. Should me a majority of highway miles than anything else. The drivers seat is very nice an un-worn, no deep creased cracks, no tears, the cushion is not mangled from slide outs, steering wheel leather is not worn. brake pedal and radio and everything look really great. Power sliding rear glass, moon roof, such comfortable seats, it will be a great upgrade from my transmission prone uncomfortable XLT.

Idk man... it's a nice looking truck, but your looks so much better. You could add leather and even do a console swap into your truck for less. I'm with Punisher on this one

Oh and one more thing if you haven't. Lift up that tonneau cover and check the bed sides. I'm rip**** about this on my truck: Sometimes the covers support tabs that help the cover sit above the bed back off and the cover hits the bed side going over bumps. I have two down-to-bare metal scratches on my truck... small but noticeable if I took it off. I covered them up, but what a kick in the *****.

Truck prices are still hanging in there for some reason. Last time gas spiked they took a dump quick. I'm with everyone else, keep the 04. Plus the SCREW/shortbed combo never looked right, to me at least.

Now the blue SD on the other hand....

Just a little PTM work is all. The major mod was wheels & tires, PTM work will be a minimal couple hundred if any, and exhaust is no problem. A chance to try something new, and I could avoid having to fix the 3 leaks in my current exhaust. And maybe gain a calmer exhaust because I do think this setup is a bit much for me. The OEM drive is much nicer than my Bilstein driven 04 too, I may re-add in the future but I actualy look forward to enjoying an OEM truck for a couple months.

I was going for an 09+ truck until I seen this, and all of those mods would need re-done/added anyways is how I look at it haha

I think the 07 looks much nicer than mine for a couple reasons. I do dislike my bumper with my black headlamps, and the cost to swap to what I was going to do is just a bit to high to put into a truck with near 110k miles on it. As far as adding leather, well non OE covers will always have that tossed wrinkled look, and the console could be fun but a project I wouldn't really want to take on. The wiring harness for Lariat seats & sound system is about $1k alone, + seats and dash pieces and console which make it nearly a $3500 project for functionality to a older truck.

hell no i wouldn't pay that for a 2007 w/ nearly 80k miles.

what are you looking for in a new truck exactly? why do you want to get rid of yours now?

i test drove a 06 lariat supercab 4wd fully loaded besides navigation, had 40k miles they were asking 19,900 which even the sales guy admitted was overpriced. be patient and you can get the deal you want.

a local dealership had a 09 f150 fx4 supercab w/ plus package for 19,750 w/ 54k miles. so i'd keep waiting

I would swap as much stuff as possible off or your current truck. Headlights, mirrors, grille, tails, etc. The dealer would probably be able to sell it better with all the chrome on there. And then all you would have to do is repaint your PTM stuff to black instead of sanding it all down again.
