tires on stock 20" rims

Hi all I would like to know what size of a tire will fit on my stock 20" rims. I have a 2012 FX4 with the 20" rims. Tomorrw I will be taking the truck in the shop and getting a 2" auto lift installed on the front end only. So I would like to know what size of tire I can fit on my stock rims without having to cut anything in the wheel wells. I'm hoping I can fit a 35" tires but if not 33" or 34" will be fine.

edit: that is my old truck in the sig pic. I forgot to update my profile.. lol

id got with a 275-65/20 or possible a little bigger. of course the wider you go, the more chance you have at rubbing the UCA and that not. 34" is probably what id go with for sure

Thats what happened to my truck. previous owner had 325/65/20 tires (35x13) and now my UCAs have a permanent grove in them lol Now I have 275/65/20s (34x11) and no rubbing at all. and they dont look too small

Dixie, could you post a side view your truck so I can see how 275 width tire looks. I'm debating between that size and 35x12.50. Same rims

Depends what kind of tire your looking for and how aggresive the sidewalls are. I had BFG T/A KO 35s 285/65/20 (34.7x11.5) on my OEM 20's before going to my XD's and they didn't rub at all.. Now I have them on a 20x10 wheel and they still don't rub.

Here a pic, similar to Dixie's truck when i had my OEM wheels. More pics in my album.

I have a new question for you all. Will this tire fit with my 20" stock rim under my truck with no rubbing? ****Sepek Mud Country's 35 12.50R20E

Thanks for the pics Dixie. i think i might go with 35x12.50. look to widen the footprint of the truck a little bit. i wish they made the Open country AT/II's in the 285 or 295/65/r20.
