Question Do I need new lug nuts for my new XD Monsters??

Hello everybody...just got my 2004 Lariat Super Crew a little over a month ago and got my new rims today. Got the 18" Black XD Monsters with the +18 offset. Now I'm just waiting for my tires....325/60/R18 Kumho KL 78's. I was wondering if I needed anything like news lug nuts for these rims or if I can just take it to the shop when the tires get here and thats it...I also have a 2" leveling kit that I need to put on first as I understand. Can't wait to get em on there and show off the pics!

Thanks guys

I have this kit on mine. The nuts are splined so that someone wont easily "borrow" the wheels from you: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/24...t_pn=PXA26104B

Hey I never thought of someone "borrowing" my wheels and tires before but that would totally suck if they did! But I'm assuming the factory lugs will work just fine right?

If you bought the wheels from Tire Rack, we send the necessary lug hardware needed for your truck - conical nuts 14x2 21mm fastener head. We also send the necessary 21mm extender tool so you do not scratch the finish on your new wheels by using a standard torque gun or socket. A lockset of 4 lugs (1 for each wheel) is available as well just in case someone wants to "borrow" your wheels - the set is $16.95.

Most aftermarket wheels need different lugnuts.

OEM nuts will not fit inside of the Monsters. I bought my tire pkg as a kit in 2009 and it came provided with new lugs and hub rings.

Make sure you use a set of good stainless ones.

New Lugs

Definetely will require new lugs. Give us a ring if we can help. We use Gorilla, so the quality is there. Thanks

Well I tried every auto parts chain in town...O'Reilly's, Advance, NAPA, Arnold, Sears...I didn't bother goin to AutoZone cause nobody else has em'...tried searching TireRack but all I get is articles about lug nuts....I guess this is what ya get for buyin your rims off eBay. The seller I got em from says he'll send me an invoice for a kit...never thought lug nuts would be so hard to come across!!! (Frustrated)
