I agree. They look like dirty.

Also not a fan of the FX4 painted bumpers.. I know people need the decal to look cool but where has the love of chrome gone??

I used to not care for black wheels. They reminded me of the cheap, steel wheel wheels they sell. Another issue is that it isn't easy to get black wheels to show up in a pic. Sure, the professional magazine guys get them to "pop" in photos, but most of the average guys that buy them and then post a pic on forums like this don't. You know what I mean, a guy buys black wheels, takes a pic looking into the sunlight and all you can see is a big black circle. You can't even tell where the wheel ends and the tire begins.

Add me to the list. Once in a while it looks good but EVERYONE seems to be doing it. Whatever they like, more power to em! Ask what I like? I wish there were more Teflon rims like the Ranger's use to have. Not black, but close enough to give that effect!

I to am with you on the Rockstars. They are for sure overplayed. However; I'm not completely in the boat of hating the black wheels. I will admit that I was/am looking to get a set of new wheels and have for the most part decided on the ATX Artillery Teflons. I did almost go with a set of black steelys though.

@boyd220 I have stock rims on my 03 F-150 and really I just don't care for the style of them. If they were painted black they would still look terrible.

Ugh. Rockstars...

I had black wheels on my truck, ended up not liking them and got what I have now.

I only like them on all black trucks, and then not all black but some chrome.

What goes around, comes around. Or, in other words, there's nothing new in the automotive world.

Back in the 50's, there were no after-market wheels to be had. We lost our full wheel covers, and painted our wheels dark gray primer! If you want the really custom look, you might add small "Baby Moon" chrome center hub caps.

Of course, there were very few pickups around then, and "THE" look was lowered (At least in the back), and perhaps all the way around.

OH! And Blue Dots! Now, they were cool.

I don't like black wheels. Al least with gray primer, you could see the shape and texture. But then again, we were "cooler" than you guys are today!

Some vehicles depending on color and accents just look better with black. My old truck for example, looked best how it was, black accents on burgandy, black XD Monsters. I was trying to remove all chrome, however if I liked the chrome a black & satin chrome like wheel may have looked better.
