While we're here...there's no seal or o-ring to change with this is there???

RockAuto shows a axle/hub o-ring listed right below the actual hub, but doesn't give much of a description. I don't remember any mention of it in the service manual or anything but not at home to look right now.

I just changed both front hubs and i till have a damn squeak in the passenger side wheel

it sounds like its rubbing on something and it only squeaks at one point during one rotation of the tire.

what else could it be? rotors? brake pads? i have no idea.

i picked up both of my hub assemblys for 231.54

I bet you did...hence my comments about comparing the cheaper made in China one to the National side by side. Coulda got those for that price...I'll pass.

To try to settle this I did an experiment. I have 35's and beat on the truck so the bearings wear out faster than a Grandpa truck. Stocks were replaced with Timkens, now with 95k the Timkens are done. I replaced the Passenger side with a Timken and the Drivers side with a Oreilly's china brand. They look identical except for the markings. We'll see which one dies first. Both only have a 1yr warranty. It seems like the quality control on most any aftermarket parts these days is horrible. Even brands that used to be good. Thanks China!

Update. Timken wore out first. Lasted almost 3 years. Timken also shut down their US plant. So much for that debate on going with the made in USA part. Putting in a National bearing this time. Also Made in China.....great.

I don't think this thread had a "made in the USA" debate going on. If you look back, I chose National due to the clear visual difference in quality; could care less where it's made.

Hey Galaxy, I just did my front passenger hub today. A simple: mount 4 tires, change front pads and rotors turned into an all day fiasco. But it's done. The #4 is you need. It's a sealed hub. The job is easy just takes time. I would recommend torque wrench specs on the bolts that hold the bearing to the spindle. Also torque the cassel nut.
