Cracked Rockstar

Got to work yesterday and realized I had a flat tire, took the truck to the shop down the street and they showed me where my wheel was leaking air through a small crack behind one of the spokes, don't know what would have caused this $300 they are overnighting another one.

Pretty sure KMC warrants structual damage to their wheels. I'd ask about it if you payed the 300 out of pocket.

Ya I called the a-holes over at wheelpros and they told me since I wasn't the original owner of the wheels to go fly a kite...

Now that sucks.... I recently tried to get some help with my Rockstars since one has 2 stripped bolts that hold the center cap on. KMC said since someone had to do the damage they wouldn't cover it. Makes a little more sense than your scenario though. Wheel is busted regardless they should fix it imo.

I love the look of the KMC XD series wheels, but you guys confirm why I don't purchase them... I have heard the stories about products failing and terrible Customer Service all around... They have a great looking product, I think they should up the quality standards and improve the customer service.

They might be hurting for money if they had to fix all their shoddy wheels!

Personally, when I had my monsters I thought the finish could of been much better than what it was. Not saying it was poor quality but compared to my FUEL wheels, I think these ones have a much better powdercoat.
