I was planning on Firestone Destination A/T's as they have good reviews, seem to do well in just about anything and are only $512.00 for a set of 4. However, wanted some opinions before I buy. Is there anything better? I'd spend up to $100 more if it would actually make a NOTICEABLE difference. I stay on pavement all the time, but would like some help with situations like the one I was in today... Drove off the side of the road to hook up a trailer, but ended up getting stuck and digging through the grass 10" into the mud. It was raining super hard and I actually expected this would happen.

Either way, anything will be better than these stock Hankooks I'm running now.

Planning on going from 235/70-17's to 245/70-17's as I was talking about in my other thread.

 

I put BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's on mine and have been thrilled with them. I'm running 265/75/16 and these things will pull me through anything. I go ice fishing and will regularly cut new trail through 12" - 16" of snow across the frozen lake. Incredible tire.

 

The Firestones have great ratings, I'm sure they are a good choice that will do all that you need to do with them. But if it were me, I would go with the General Grabber AT2's. They look great, they also have great reviews and they are only $12 more for a set. I'm a big BFG AT fan and the AT2's are pretty near a mate looks wise to the BFG. Another option is the Michelin LTX AT2 they are $630 for a set but $70 back on tire rack. So many great tires and you can only pick one eh?

 

I have driven on all the AT tires we carry and the best bang for the buck and best snow traction is in the Firestone Destination A/T's. Just can't be beat. Only one I have not hit the snow with is the DC Fun Country II's and I will try that this winter.

Ha, too many choices. I think I'll go with the Firestone Destination A/T's. Seems like I can't go wrong with them.

Yea haha I didn't click on it i already kno what it is. It made ford look bad too, atleast to the car brand/tire brand uneducated. i remember when that was happening i was like 11. That whole situation sucked tho. You can get good deals on them but i prob wouldn't ever buy them. I kno a couple ppl with firestone AT and they like them.
The zeon's are sweet lookin tires but i don't kno anyone who has them so i can't say anything. I kno they do look good on big wheels.
