Best mud tire

I was pondering, what is the best performing mud tire (in mud only) that wont drive you absolutely looney when driving on the road? Meaning, factor out price, looks, and tread life...

Toyo MT (best tread life)
Pro-Comp Xtreme AT (owned a set and put them hell and back)
Pro-Comp Xtreme MT (heard good reviews and look pretty nice)
SS M-16 (saw my buddy go through some nasty stuff with these)
and of course the mud grappler but in some peoples opinion it is too loud on the road.

one of the best MUD ONLY tires out there would have to be the Super Swamper Bogger. but the SS/Rs and TSL Radials are very good and have "better" street manners...

Right. The Bogger is the best mud tire, bare none but there is no way you could live with them on a daily driver. The next step down would probably be one of Super Swamper's radials, like the SSR. A little farther down the list would be tires like the BFG MT KM, **** Cepek Mud Country, Goodyear MTR, etc.

Your going to get alot of different opinions about what people think the best is. I personally have the Firestone Destination MT and its great. I go through more mud in 2WD than I could in 4WD with AT tires.

Goodyear mt/r is not a mud tire. Decent in mud at best. If your primary terrain will be mud don't go with Goodyear mt/r. Goodyear mt/r shines in the rocks. Mud tire that you'll also be comfortable on the road I'd go with bfg km2, Mickey Thompson mtz, pro comp. Now of it will see minimal road, trailer queen. Swampers is the brand your wantin
