Should i buy Nitto Mud's?

I have been looking for a set of 35x12.5x17 mud tires to run on my truck. i havent found much used. I have came across a set of Nitto Muds for sale and thy have 18/32 left (new is 21/32). I have a chance to buy them for under 850 bucks for a set of 4...is it worth it? i have been wanting toyos but nothing has came up in my area..I am running dunlop mud rovers now (came on the truck when i purchased) and am looking to upgrade..Opinions?

I say yes but thats because i love my mud grapplers. Looks, sounds, and i always get comments on my tires. But a lot of guys will say stay away from them because the mileage is not so great. Yeah, but your buying a mud terrain do you really expect to get 50k out of them? I mean come on, really? Its up too you man but i loved every second of those tires. I got them balanced and rotated every 3k along with an oil change to help keep them alive as long as possibly. They are great in the mud never got stuck with them until this last time i went only due to really not having any thread left on them. Which is why they are sitting on my truck in storage right now. I bought my mud grapplers for 1350 brand new mounted and balanced so i would try to go lower on the guy if you can but i think thats a pretty good deal.

If you can get them for $500 then I would go for it, but if not there are better tires out there to put your money towards.

i agree. $500 seems fair considering the rim size is 17. Used tires a have pretty bad resale value.

35/12.5R17 isnt that expensive of a size.

if they are $850, for a few hundred more you can get brand new tires.

i would pass unless you can knock a few hundred off the price.

The Mud Grapplers are definitely nice F'n tires! I have the BFG KM2's on my HUMMER but I know a few guys that are running the Mud Grapplers and absolutely love them.

get them! alot of people are going to tell you they are bad on the highway with no treadlife. but ive had a good experience when i had my mudgrapplers. i had about 35K on mine before I got something new. they did pretty good in the rain and were awesome in the mud! they would throw huge chunks of mud and i never feared of tearing them up. they are really loud on the road, i dont know if that bothers you, but i didnt care. i loved the howling!!

thats a fair price for them. i would get them!

my buddy just got his put on in february and they are already 100% bald with the inner belt showing. Theyre 35's and if i had to guess I'd say he didnt put more than 7000 miles on them because he drives about the same amount as me. Just something to think about.

Nitto's

I have had my 37x13.50R17 on for about a month and I love them. They ride smooth and sound great. I get asked about them every time I stop. They are a great tire. Enjoy!

Hey HB. I noticed you have the Nitto Trail Grapplers on your truck. I'm taking my truck in this month for a 6" Rough Country lift install with 20" KMC XD Hoss wheels and it's between the Nitto Trails or Muds. I just emailed the shop today and told them to switch from the Muds to the Trails. Your thoughts? I figured I could get a little more life out of those and I heard they aren't as loud. I've had the Muds before and loved them but I really didn't use them offroad that much. I appreciate any advice, Brother. Thanks.
