Wheel Help

I have been looking at the MB V-Drive wheels and I was wondering if they would rub with a 7.5" lift on a 2003 F150 Supercrew 2wd.
Thanks in advance

What are the specs on the wheels and what size tire do you want to run?
If you use a 8 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing and 35x12.50's, you will be fine.

V-drive baby!

my only issue is that they don't have a big enough lip, the guy at Discount tire said MB wheels try to stay close to stock BS & offset.

17x8.5 is the widest you can get in the v-drive for 5x135 bolt pattern, I'm not sure if a 315 will fit

I have 17x8.5 with 265/70's for reference...

I thought the general rule is no more than 4" wider tires than the wheel width

It depends on the aspect ratio (second number in standard tire format). Higher aspect ratio tires (> 60) you can go much wider than the wheel, but lower aspect ratio tires (< 50) you have to stick closer to rim width, 'cause there isn't a tall sidewall to ramp out the difference.

These days, though, pretty much all tire manufacturers have websites, and you can look up the particular brand, model and size of tire you're looking at to find out exactly what rim widths the mfr. says are okay.

For example, BFG All-Terrain T/A KO LT315/70R17 tires will fit 8"-11" rims. Nitto Terra Grappler LT325/70R17 (35" tall) tires will fit 8.5"-11" rims. Of course, rim widths near the middle of the given range are optimal, but as long as it's in the range, you're good to go.

I believe they're 4.5 BS, 0 offset, same as stock wheels. The sticker on the box only had the wheel size & bolt pattern, and I completely forgot to physically measure the BS before I mounted them... I was too anxious to get the old stockers off and put on something new...

I'll call a random Discount tire in the morning & ask them, maybe they have it in their book.
