What's the torque value of wheels

I have a 2006 f 150 with a 17", 5 spoke wheel. It is also described a machine aluminum. Can any one tell me what the proper torque value of my lug nuts are?

Thanks for the info. I did not see that information in the owner's manual and went to the service dept. of the local Ford dealership and they couldn't give me the answer. Perhaps they thought it was a stupid question.

Oh I am not doubting you, I just can't imagine making a mistake like that. I am going to fix it today though. Glad I read this.

I over-torqued mine using the hand wrench once, 150lbs sounds like a bit of a challenge to get off, try near 200

how are you guys managing to get these lugs off when they're torqued to 150?

i did mine to 100 last time and i tried just now and i cant crack them!

are you all using gobs of anti seize? i put a little on last time and i still cant get them off!

Never use anti-seize or oil on a lug. That alone could be your problem. You are not getting a proper torque when you use it. As for getting them off, it is not a problem at 150. Not hard to get to 150, and about the same or a little toujgher to get them off.

I use a 3 foot pipe on the end of a 1/2" drive socket when my impact wrench cannot get them off. The longer the pipe, the more leverage for removing lugs. I would never use the pipe to tighten them because the studs will break off if over torqued. Most tire stores start with an impact wrench and then, use a torque wrench to tighten to an exact specification.
