alternatives to bfg a/t?

im in the market for 305/55/20 but i just cant see myself dishing out 390+ a piece on bfg a/t ko even though it's supposedly the best one out there. i wont be doing any off-roading, it hardly rains here, and it definitely does not snow. of course, they'd need to be reliable (traction/wear wise) still and not be obnoxiously loud. any suggestions?

Check out the Nitto Terra Grappler All Terrain. They are a good bit cheaper and seem to be a pretty good all around tire. Not too aggressive, but still looks nice.

I have the General Grabber AT2. they look almost identical to my old bfg at's. i have them in a 307/70/16 size. they do good in rain and are great on pavment but that could be due to the fact that they are 2"s wider than my old tires. i havent had them long enough to tell you about how they wear.

Toyo AT or Kumho Road Venture AT's Here is a pic I took of them side by side. The Kumho is a good tire for the money. If you were local I could get you a set cheap. The Toyos are about $285 each.

i have BFG AT's, and I can say that after 12k miles, I have virtually no wear, you can still see where the nipples used to be.

remember, you get what you pay for w/ tires... AT's for 20's+ are never going to be cheap.

hes got a point. they have a very good rep. i bought my set used with not alot left on them and they rode fine, just recently decided to trash them and got the pro comps, havent had em long enough to give mileage though haha
