What do you think of these wheels

I was thinking I was going to do all black rims, but I photoshopped these and I kinda like the way it looks. What do ya'll think?

American Racing Tactic's

Rim would be 18x8.5 with +30 offset (6" backspace), Tires are 325/60/18 Mickey Thompson ATZ's

Has anyone seen these on a truck before??? I can't find a single picture of them on any truck...

What size rim and tire? I think the look will depend on those 2 factors as well.

My other choice

My other choice would be the American Racing Thugs, 18x9, but with only 5" of backspacing (0 offset) I know they are going to rub some with those 325/60/18 tires that I have.

your wheels

Lazarus, how is it that you don't have any rubbing, is it because your tire's are narrower? What's the converted size of those? 275 is like 10.5 wide, right?

Yeah tires aren't that wide--would've gone wider if I could like 33x13.5 which is what would be next for me. I think I'll have to cut her.

Hey jcomar.....

from a distance, those first wheels look great.... Or should I say, "with your truck" having a little bit of silver is not neccessarily a bad thing......

But I'm thinking that up close, those first wheels might look a bit cheaper / not as tough.

While the Thugs (even the name :-) look tougher than a UFC fighter ! BTW, I noticed you found the Thugs "without silver allens" ? Very cool ! :-)

Peace,
Fish

Thugs

No, the real thugs do have the silver allen heads, but I couldn't find a good photo of those to crop into the photo of my truck.

I like the Thugs too, but man I don't want any rubbing! That's my delimma..

Hey jcomar....

actually, I talked with a wheel specialist yesterday, and he informed me that Thugs actually come available in two finishes.... One is kind of a dark gray. teflon coated, that "does not have silver allens, and the other is straight up flat black, but does have silver allens....

But anyway, to answer your question.... No. I'm still kind of just pulling my hair out over the exact wheels. I want to see those Thug teflons, to see exactly how dark gray they are.....
It's funny, from a physicists standpoint, nothing man made is really, truly black anyway... which is to say, every color which we call black, still actually reflects back some small amount of light. Theoretically, true black would be invisible.

Hmmm.....
