Moto Metal 951s or Helo Maxx6

I'm looking for some imput from the users here at f150online. I'm looking at purchasing new wheels and tires. I'm sold on the 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. However I'm torn between the MM 951s and the Helo Maxx6. Take a look at my truck in the signature and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance.

I like the 951's myself, but why are you "sold" on the grapplers? I too thought they were the tire to get until I joined this forum. From what I hear they are louder than normal and more importantly the tread life is horrible and uneven
Just my .2 and everyone has some change By the way your truck is very nice....the blue is sick!

Matlan77,

I've heard lots of good things about the Terra Grapplers and they also look good too. They are also less expensive than the BFG KOs. Thanks for the compliment. Oh, and you never gave your .2 on the wheels.

I like both wheels but i personally like the 951's better. I am having them put on my truck this monday along with a 6'' fabtech lift and 35'' procomp extreme a/t's. There's my .2 post some pics after you get them on

Either wheels will look great.
Matlan77, I think you are confusing the Terra Grapplers and the Mud Grapplers.

Are you thinking of going with the chrome or black finish? If chrome, then I prefer the MM 951's over the Helo's. If black, then I prefer the Helo's.

I was all decided to buy a set of the MM 951's but I really do not like the black finish on those wheels, and the chrome will not hold up to an Ohio winter. I ended up finding the MB Predators in the Anthracite Machined Finish and I love the way they look on my truck with the dark gray accents (pics below). Plus, the MM 951's and Helo's are very popular so they are on a bunch of other trucks.

My vote is for the MM 951. However I did see the KMC Badlands over the weekend and they looked good. I think they were 22x11.

From experience, I had a set of the MM's on my F250. I will not own another set. First off, they would vibrate at highway speeds, nothing got rid of the vibration, could not stop it. I had a store that installed a lot of them tell me this was a common problem with that wheel. I also had chrome peeling issues with them. On the second balance, when pulling off the stick on weight, it pulled almost all the chrome off on the back of the wheel. They also pitted very easily and I'm in the south, not to mention it rarely got driven. Stayed in the driveway clean most of the time. I wasn't impressed at all with them.
I did like the tgrapplers though. They are a good tire. But I found the Toyo Open Country's were a little better for me. Had a little better grip to me and were quieter. Rode better on the highway also. I had the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ and they really made the wheel vibration problem bad. It took a lot of weight to get them to balance and they were kind of noisy for me.
