We need a little more information. What year and model truck do you have? What engine and transmission do you have? Do you do a lot of towing or heavy hauling?

sorry, it's an 02 FX4 with the 5.4L,automatic with O/D, 42, 000 miles. Not any really serious hauling, already has a 2inch body lift, so 37's should clear. It's a daily driver and an once a month mudder.

I'd think you would want at least 4.56 gears.
Also, Piperc, if you have to ask, you would just not understand.

4.56 gears would be good, if you want more performance or plan to get bigger tires in the futer get 4.88, and piper i have had many lifted vehicles and if it is doon right you wont have a problem with u joints your coment is just not correct

If you don't have anything positive to add to the original posting, why don't you learn some impulse control and butt out. The majority of your posts do nothing but inflict controversy. You ask beginner's questions and give baseless answers, only proving the lack of game one has at age 16.

CodyMan- I agree with bigtruck311...minimum 4.56; performance and my choice 4.88.
