Thornbirds have a very poor reputation. Most people consider them one of the worst tires ever made. I've never owned a set, but I've talked to a lot of people that have. The general opinion is that they perform poorly off road and even worse on the highway. Most people complain that they are extremely load, wear in strange patterns (usually cupping out) which causes them to get louder and have almost no traction on wet highways. They also tend to wear very fast. I think this is why most people refer to them as Turdbirds. The only upside I've heard is that they look cool. If I built a showtruck, I'd consider them, but not for a daily driver.

No, the Iroks are better. They're not for the road so their road manners are not well, but these can actually perform offroad. They are made specifically for rock crawling and are the competition for the BFG Krawlers.
Please stay away from it!
Wear down VERY FAST!
They are very lousy in rain, snow/wetsnow.
WHy not get SSR? yeah, Irok is nice but too soft.
I like S. Swamper SX, its TOUGH SOB for off roading!
YOMAN!

I've only heard bad things about them as far as using them on the road. But you gotta admit, they look WILD!
Definatly goiod for a show truck. I'd give them a try on something that was only for play.
