My buddy had them on his Explorer sport. They sucked. Everywhere. On the trail, in the mud, and in the rain. The only time they didnt suck was on dry pavement. Compared to other tires of this size they are heavy. I would never buy them, for anything.

Thornbirds are a rock crawling tire, and are not good for much else.

Friend of mine had Thornbirds. We ended up pulling his little Toyota out of more mudholes than I care to remember when he ran Thornbirds. They just turn into spinning gobs of mud even in the thinnest of goo.

My next set of tires will probably be TSL Radials in the 35" or 36" or maybe a set of BFG 315/75 A/T KO.

I hear the Goodyear MT/R is pretty decent as well, might look deeper into those myself.

well i can say that they ride rough i had them on a z71 the only way i could
get them to do right in the mud was to really get them spinning they dont clean up very well but also i had a 380hp crate motor in it with 4.56 gears
so didnt have alot of probs getting them spinning.i was going to put the same tire on my ford.they all have there downfall.the best all around tire is the tsl sx in my opinion i had a set of 38.5 and they were the best all around

I had a set of them on my old jeep and i got about 25,0000 miles out of them which I thought was pretty good, they are LOUD very load I would have the doors and top off and you could not hear anything, and they were not very good off-road, or in wet conditions, I do not think that I would ever own another set, After those i went to the TSL radials and I was much happier. Hope This Helps

At the other truck site that I frequent, they call them "Thorn turds."

Everyone seems to dislike them on that site.

I have not purchased them myself.
