Just put a set of 265/70/17 on my Expedition. Smooth quiet ride, a vast improvement to the Goodyear (junk) Wranglers that came on the vehicle. Lots of people really like this tire . If you are an off road junkie look for something more aggressive. BTW can you order a truck with the Michelin LTX M/S tires from the factory???

Regards, Tim

Dont have that exact tire, but I just installed Michelin pilot LTX's 285/55/18
on my expy, and man it rides so much smoother and quieter than the stock generals did. Treadwear on these is 400,so Im guessing 40-50,000 miles outa them. Your gonna pay more for the Michelins, but they are well worth the money. The sidewalls also shine better than any tire Ive ever had!!
I use the Meguire's Endurance tire dressing.
Good luck!

Just put second set of Michelins on my 97 Lariat. Best tire for the money. I put 265-75-R16 on this time around. Best rain tire around and very little lost traction on start up. After having Goodyear Wranglers, these are a vast improvement. Yo won't be sorry with the Michelins.

I aslo have that same tire. Working in a tire shop, I dertimined that would be the best tire to go with and let me tell you, I was not let down! All around handling was much improved. the ride is perhaps slightly louder than the goodyear ap's but not noticible. I expect to get roughly the same wear, 40-50k, just make sure to take care of them. For 600$, it's not worth it not to rotate! I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

2000 4.2 Supercab XLT
What I've done: K&N filter, Magna flow custom exaust (From where cat's join, 3"in, two 2.5" out the rear), Michelin LTX M/S 265/75/16's, MTX Thunderform custom box with two 6000 series 8" subwoofers and Mtx 120 amp.
Plans: Lund hood deflector, superchip, Poweraid, Xenon sport Flares, (custom ram-air idea?)
New: Pioneer DEH-P6300 Head unit (I definately reccomend it!)

Question

I'd like to go with this exact tire on my 2WD Supercrew. Will it fit OK on the 4X2?

I don't want to have to change anything but the tire.

Thanks.

michelins are ok in the south but they are horrible if you live in the snow belt . . i've had several sets of michelins on new cars and have disliked every set . . no traction on wet, ice, or snow . . . personally, i'd go for bridgestone dueler ATs rather than michelin any day . .
